Codex Daemons
*WHFB stuff*
5th Edition with Space Marines. A few new Ork Models, A plastic Drop Pod.
New Space Marine Codex to coincide w/ 5th Edition Release. Traits are GONE. Space Wolves dex to come w/ this update or shortly before/after. Not confirmed if SW will get full codex or White Dwarf treatment.
New Imperial Guard released about the same time as Codex Daemon for this year, but released in '09. Dark Eldar are to follow that (sources put it from anywhere as summer to winter). The new codex will see (almost certain) plasrtic karskin and great coated soldiers, as well as several different bits being offered for sale ALA the Black Templars upgrade spru style so modelers can take the new basic IG box and make pretty much all the famous Regiments. There is also the same old grousing of a plastic valkyrie, but nothing stable to support it.
After that, only vague rumors that aren't very steady. However, I will divulge the most coherent list I have.
Starting partially sometime this year, and more in earnest sometime mid of '09 we will see some sort of update to Chaos to give the legions back their power. This has been officially announced as Apocalypse Datasheets at first. Things like Noise Marine army's, dedicate dreadnoughts, etc... This will (official, but with no time frame, though rumors say late '09 or mid 2010) be followed by Chaos Legions codexs. From there, it's up in the air as to whether the codex is plural, singular, or what. There's even a far fetched rumor saying GW is trying to re-acquire the rights to the Malal IP. However, the new Chaos Legions will be like the Grey Knights of Chaos... They will be incredibly expensive, but yet jaw droopingly powerful as well, since full fledged and coherent fighting forces from the Old Legions is (by all fluff standards) very rare now-a-days.
After all that, there are some vague rumors of a fully re-done Inquisition codex, and nothing. |
damn, better stop building my marines, i have two assualt weapons per squad.. uh oh.
