DE was the second codex of 3rd Edition, since then It has had one small update as "Codex
ark Eldar - Second Edition" (which is a confusing name considering how people refer to the editions of 40K) in which some faults were smoothed out, but 90% stayed exactly the same.
So yeah, they've needed redoing for a very long time.
