I recommend losing the Scarabs, anything that doesn't shoot in the Necron army really isn't worth it in the end. I know Scarabs are used to tie up tough units, etc., but a lord with a VoD and some more warriors or Immortals if you can swing it are way better than the Scarabs. I use a 1000pt list that has 2 squads of warriors (not Minimum size), a Lord with a VoD, 4 Destroyers and the balance made up of Immortals (7 I think). Total 997 or 992 pts. Works like a charm.
In the end, get your buddy and play a few games with the list as is, then go over what would have been better: different units or different descisions.
