each drone has their own unique purpose:
Marker Drones-another markerlight in a firewarrior squad is always helpful and giving a markerlight to a crisis suit that wouldn't normally have one is good
Gun Drones- more shots from a fire warrior squad is also useful
Shield drones- a target for your enemy to shoot at
2) When the enemy is attacking a unit accompanied by drones, can I choose the drones as the casualties? Or if not, how do they fit into the casualty, dying, taking wounds, etc. thing?
Yes you can the drones are part of the squad so they would follow the same rules as regular members of the squad
3)do their armor saves get taken into account for multiple armor save rule? |
Ok I have talked to several GW employees on this one and got two different versions-the US GW told me basically that the majority armour rules apply meanign that the sheild drones 4+ invul save is useless when the drones are the minority- GW canada had two versions, two employees agreed with the US including a Direct Service troll however after talking about it to a manager who plays Tau, he took it all the way up to the canadian VP and they all agreed that the majority armour rules do not apply because:
when you have two saves and armour and an invulnerable you have to pick which one to use when being attacked so it would all depend on what you are being hit by.
