Then again.. most of the Hive scum were like him. Calaestius finds the exchange between Garvel and Carcer extremely amusing, yet, he can't help but agree with everything said. What HAD Carcer done for the God-Emperor? Other than spread disease and discontent..
What suprises Calaestius the most is the fact that Carcer is still smiling. He seems to be enjoying the general hate everyone feels towards him. Walking towards his own quarters, Calaestius makes a point of stepping extremely hardly on Carcer's foot. And then proceeding to ignore him like he was a piece of dirt on the ground.
