Re: Deep Strike Question deep strike happens at the begining of the turn itself, as it is classed as deployment.
so, you roll for your reserves. for each unit/s that makes their roll, you place 1 model anywhere on the table which then acts as the entry point. you roll your scatter and then deploy the rest of the unit. (provided they haven't run into any misfortunes!)
once all your deep strikes have been deployed, you then start your movement phase...
so a 40k turn is really;
1) reserves/deployment
2) movement
3) shooting
4) assault.
hopefully the 5th edition book will better define this and basically organise the turn sequence similar to fantasy! (ie: compulsery moves for deep strike & then remaining moves for everyone else...)
