i liked the book over all. Sure we could see the ending a mile off, and they could have gone into a bit more depth regarding the caves (i.e. why were they there? was it because of a 'nid scout force arriving - Tyranids increase the growth of vegitation on a world, was this the reason?)
the characters however were well written and the relationships between the two tribes was clearly explained.
the only issue i had with the plot was that as far as i was aware, the Tallerns are not known for their Psykers - certainly going from their Doctrines, Kamala Noore was out of place, but her inclusion was only a plot driver and can be forgiven
all in all, i look forward to my Lucien Soulban read and would recommend this one to others |
