He more than likely doesn't have even this buddy. Surgery is more MICRO now and probly only has one or 2 incisions 3 or 4 mm long.
My wife is looking at meniscal (knee) micro surg (from Snow boarding) and it now is amazing. Mine in 1994 I still have puckers and scars and she will have not even a small scar to show!!!
