Default Re: Foundation Paints

A lot of what I use depends on what I'm trying to do. I like GW stuff for base coats, then I'll use my Vallejo Gaming Color to highlight and do details. For most metallic parts, I MUCH prefer GW's stuff, once again, highlighted with Vallejo. Quite a few of the Vallejo Model Colors that I have tried were a little odd to work with at first, but after a little trial & error, they now have thier place in my bag of tricks. Acrylic extender has been worth it's weight in gold for quite a few projects also. Liquitex is an acrylic paint, usually purchased in a tube. I don't recommend jumping into it, unless you have a lot money, as it is pretty expensive ($5 - 12.00 per tube depending on color), as well as being VERY thick, although for absolutely brilliant colors, you can't beat it!
