as long as it is clear that something represents the icon, it can take whatever form you like - i suggested to someone a while ago that they use the shield from the Slaanesh Lord on steed of slaanesh from the fantasy range for a Slaanesh icon, as it has the O-I-C symbol, but could conceivably stretch to count as a hand weapon. |
That was me. And the Icon Bearer fights with his full complement of attacks. So if you model a CSM with an Icon, he would still get to use his bolt pistol, bolter, and CCW. I think as long as the Icon stands out, it can be just about anything. You could use a trophy rack on a backpack, whatever. Just as long as it looks sufficently specific to the god it's dedicated to. As for Chaos Glory, the eight sided star would be cool.
