Actually sounds like a couple of kids who tried to play at the FLGS. They brought their moms in to buy their armies (yeah, $300-$400 at a time). They told the moms that they needed extra squads because they would lose them if they lost. It's not the players telling the kids this bulls*it, it's the treacherous youth of today, LEADERS OF TOMORROW, trying to hoodwink their parents into spending more money on them. Another example: a kid in the FLGS tells his mom, "I need a Tyranid Hive Tyrant, so I can have a Rending Talon for my Marneus Calgar." Did she get it for him? Dang right she did. Had it been my young'un, I'd have lit his ass up, cause he knows I have a couple of rending talons in my bits box. I guess I'm lucky...my kid just wants money for gas for the car I bought him, so he can go out with girls. At least he's not a geek like his old man. |
