and the store staff have better things to do than keep the till busy all day with e-mails... honestly, you have no idea just how many fething phone calls we get a day just on rules questions and/or painting & modeling questions!
if we really did do everything via e-mail, then we wouldn't sell a single thing.
the other thing i've noticed is that the US ecomony hitting the toilet hard has really hurt. our dollar went beyond silly, and many of our xmas sales headed down to the US...
factor in the gross incompetence of the provincial government who are determined to have ontario follow the US into the dumps, and people simply aren't spending on much of anything right now.
another big hurt for us are the shaddier indie stores. we have a local store owner who buys direct from the US instead of the proper chanells and thus he sells our product for almost half the cost. that drags away alot of the younger consumers...
but basically, everyone everywhere is losing money big time to developing nations like china & india. there are the predictions out there that within another 10 years or so, the western world will take such a massive financial hurt that we'll become 2nd or even 3rd world contries compared to those currently developing countries! (see, child labour works!
