Hi guys.
Few nights ago we had a house fire from a plastic tray left on a hob by my parents, man did that thing go up in flames. It's covered 90% of the rooms with smoke and carbon damage and because of it, many of the rooms, including my bedroom and painting areas, all have to have stripped, re-decorated and lots of things replaced.
Luckily, because I hadn't touched my models since I last painted them in February, everything of mine was under my bed and therefore completely undamaged from fire, smoke and burnt plastic. It does mean however, that my area to paint and stuff, will be out of bounds for some weeks to come.
We can still live in the house, just some rooms are unusable until gutted and put back right. It's very annoying, frustrating because I wanted to paint more of my marines while I was back home for Easter, but there isn't too much I can do about it sadly.
But what I shall say is, everything that is ready for paint, will be painted gleefully in May after my final year exams.. what a way to treat myself after finishing uni? A newly decorated painting area and bedroom with lots and lots of figures to paint?
Stay safe everyone!
Joe
