i know what it's like to feel helpless too. the doctor just told us that my mom has 2 tumors in her uterus [and this after half a year of fighting, and finally more or less beating breast cancer]

and i know what it feels like to just be sick of everything, sick of having to even deal with the little crap that comes up, and it just builds and builds...

i think finding a new place, like you've mentioned, would definitely help things. i honestly am not trying to sound condescending, since i know you're older than me and command a lot of respect, even just here on the forum, but once the suspicious smell is out of the way, and you're in a better living place i think that will take a lot of the stress out of the situation. maybe if the pets are causing trouble, leave them with some friends or family you trust for a while, until you and your wife are doing better health-wise, and it would likely help stop the fighting, especially since both of you are so worn out, and going at each other can't possibly do anything but hurt the situation.

maybe once you've read these posts, have her read them too, just so you both know that we're praying for you, to whatever god or gods we believe in.

you know, i've been a christian my entire life. not cause people force me to, or because i like televangelists, but because i honestly have looked at some other stuff and this God is who i chose. it may sound stupid, but i honestly will be praying for you, DK. life sucks sometimes, i know, but i know you and your wife and pets will pull through.
