I agree in the fact they lost sight, but I think over the last couple of years they have been trying hard to put it right, and I find myself not laying into them much now. The Dex's are back on a par with the 2nd ed one, and dare I say better? The new rules look as though they are going to be a classic ruleset imo, i think things are looking good IMO. The simplification in some ways isnt that bad, you did get bogged down in charts a bit!
