The ones on your posts are Rep Power not Rep Points.
Rep Power is the number of rep points you give out (so you give out 1 Rep point and I give out 2 with each click). This power can increase in a number of ways- number of posts (2000 posts increase it by 1, 4000 posts by another 1), length of membership (after a yr it will increase by 1), and I think that every 100 Rep Points you have increases your Power by 1 as well.
Example:
Hairyyahoo has 5 Rep Power
