Here is a little extract for my first Templar book, “Baptism by fire”. We start with the assault on the Imperial city by the cult of Siceros, a Dark Eldar cult that believes their master, Dalkaurs, is a dark god brought to them to lead them to Terra, and that if he feasts on the soul of the emperor, they shall becom immortal. “The xenos raiding ships had struck hard at the imperial defences, the guardsmen were no match for the vile xenos; their unholy weapons burning through human bodies." The Templars knew that now was the time to strike back and Thunderhawk gunships blasted thought the air; the rhinos stormed forward from nowhere as a voice from the coms ordered “for the Emperor!” The plan to lay in wait for the aliens had worked. The vile monsters had only brought a small raiding party. As the gunships landed to unload their cargo, the Marshal's Land Raider Crusader drove as fast as it could. The warriors of Siceros crushed under the tracks of this holy vehicle, and then as it stopped. The Templars had descended from their vehicles with riotous valor, their bolt pistols singing praise to the Emperor's Name as the aliens fell. chainswords ran red with blood as each battle brother stormed forth. As the Dark Eldar fell, the Land Raider Crusader's assault ramp slammed to the ground. As the unholy aliens looked on, Maxwell charged out, power sword in hand and plasma pistol at the ready. He was the embodiment of the Emperor's wrath itself. He swung his sword and, with every sweep a alien fell. His plasma pistol roared into life as it fired, burning away alien skin, flesh, bone and muscle. Within minutes, the raiding group was no more. Maxwell had sent his message to Siceros; for attacking this planet "he would pay the price....” and that’s all you’re getting till all 3 are done. Please feel free to comment, be it good or bad.
