why my job sucks "sometimes"

where to start......well some of you might say that i got a cool job? do i? i work for a demolition company, yes i get to break things all day. but there are down sides. lets see the fact that i get hit by objects daily like today, i get nailed in the manhood by a concrete cinder block, not a great feeling. ive had my hand broken which its still broken and will be broken for a very long time ( oh yeah its my painting hand thats broken by the way ). had ribs broken, been on fire, hurt my back, been covered in fiberglass insulation, numorous cuts that reqiured stiches, worked inches away from hazardous materials such as asbestos, been covered with hot hydraulic fluid. during the summer we worked 12 hour days 6 days a week in tempreture in excess of 100 degrees with 100% humidity! now since its winter yeah the saturday before christmas we worked in -3 degrees and 7 inches of snow.
there is a plus side to it tho. the satisfaction of knocking down a wall. very cool. like smashing out windows! i do, and i get to do it lots. the fact that i have keys to machines that can demolish a house just makes me drool, and i get to play with torches, and a saw that cuts through steel like a knife through butter! the biggest reason i like my job. in my companies warehouse there is a simple locker that has 3 letters painted on it. T-N-T. yes friends i get to on occasion blow something up. which makes geting up at 5:30 in the morning all worth it. so my job doesnt suck sometimes.

| | Don't breathe asbestos! Sucks about all the workplace injuries though. You should be more careful ;P lol j/k you probably are, so I can't imagine why all the injuries. Blowing stuff up and a power-weapon are definitely upsides though. (that saw give you +2 strength as well or just ignores armor?) |

| | chop off the hand and get bionics!!!!! ; ) nah seriously injuries suck. folks think its cool that i used to work on the harrier fighter jet. honestly sometimes it really sucked. i had thin arms at the time so i got stuck shoving my arm in awkward angles trying to find dropped tools so we wouldnt have to pull the wing and engine AGAIN thanks to some idiot. oh and hydraulic fluid... huh messing around with it at over 3000 psi was part of my bit. cuts thru you like a hot knife/butter deal. i've sliced my hands more times than i care to recall safetywiring air ducts closed to they wont blow off at 3000 ft on a pilot. part of my hearing is gone working on these pigs too. but then again knowing i fixed that pig so a pilot can safely fly it and provide support to troops who are in the **** is a good feeling. even if half my blood is mixed with hydraulic fluid |
