Litany of Forgiveness



Lest not my anger betrayer me,

Let not happiness distract thee,

Allow not the lust for battle corrupt me,

Empower me to cast aside,

All that I love, cherish, and hide,

For I make this sacrifice willingly,

Hopefully to ensure peace and tranquillity,

Let me be able to clearly see,

My path, the light, and my destiny,

I can never truly make you understand,

Why I would do this and why I can,

Let seriousness consume thee,

Allow honor to set me free,

And permit strength to meld with thee,

Please my love forgive me.
