|  New Ork Release Date!!! I just got the new white dwarf and it mentions the new release date for the orks, They are being released sometime next January. The new trukk looks sooo cool it is made to acctualy look like an ork vehicle with loads of spikes and it is alot taller than the old one so it has a ladder that goes up and down  .Im not to keen on the new tankbustas though...I think the heads are to big. |

By army combo I mean the set of troops + codex. Also, does anyone else know what is in that deal, or have any good suggestions for a starting ork army???

| yea it should early january i gather, althogh they should have some out for a day in december for xmas  i think our store is holding an event for it, some of us are intending to go in green etc for it, (face paint, not clothes ) =D

| the army box will be on sale mid december so you can get most of the new stuff about 3 weeks prior to the actual release... this box however WILL NOT! include the codex!!! sorry, but you will have to wait untill january itself for the book. other than that, i really can't say any more! (well, i lied, i can talk about the shokk-attack gun a wee bit!  )cheers!

| the army boxes that include the codex typically cost about $25(can) more than the boxes without the book... so the ork will be something like $225/250(can) and will get you pretty much all the new stuff 3-6 weeks early. cheers!

the new shipments, without the codex, now sell for $250(can) which is the average price of an army box. the forthcoming high elf army box will also sell for only $250(can) as there's no army book included in the first batch this time... each army box usually contains about 1000'ish pts for 40k or else 1250-1500pts for fantasy boxes, depending on which and how many upgrades and such you use. cheers!

Buying the spearhead in preorder before the actual release allowed you the opportunity to get the codex with it, at additional cost, but still early. The actual spearhead itself was going for a average of 200 american dollars on the net. Still, thats barely a 400 point army for the cost. Not to mention there are barely any of your bread and butter stuff. Just basically a way to get the new models. The battleforce looks a little more sensible in terms of the units you get. But still no codex there. |
