The only thing that makes them weak in a battle is the idiot in control. Orks can be the strongest side. Hey, come on, i don't see any other race having an entire GAME based on them, even if it did die (Gorkamorka! =]) Come, join my rant, give me reasons why the Orks pwn! | well animosity does play a large role in that misunderstanding. however if you use orks right you can plow right through any enemy. also gw designed them as comic relief to the seriousness between the chaos and imperium. |

| As an X-Ork player I could give about 100 reasons why Orks are better than ANY other army out there. I'll only state a couple (i have to finish some college papers that are due tomorrow!!). 1. Clans - Choose a clan and you are supreme in any field you want. IE- Goofs= S4 3A w/o charge, Bad Moon= Can outfire ANYTHING. Death Skulls= Whole army of Missile Launchers. Blood Axes= Orks that Infiltrate. Kult of Speed (the best)= 1st Charges w/ whole army, even Ork boyz rock. Feral Orks= Madboyz (s4 bs3 and fearless) Squiggoths, An Ork Warboss that has great armor and Charges 12" 2. Killa Kans- A group of 3 Dreadnoughts. Make a screen or just kill stuff. 3. Mob Rule - Best thing ever. Orks get their Ld Save usually a Ld8, then 2d6 for morale. If your mob numbers 12 or more you are immune to morale. 4. Waaaagh- Double I value of Orks that charge and pass Mob Rule. So regular boyz get I4, Nobs get I6 and Warboss strikes first at I8. A Slugga Boy with S3 I4 A4 wielding Choppas is awesome. 5. Choppas - Modifies armor save, bye bye power Armor. 6. Looted Vehicles- Want a Lander Raider, take one. How about a pie-plate take that too. Blood Axes and Lootas get extra Looted Vehicles. 7. Shoota/Slugga- S4, its better than a lasgun and has armor penetration. It also is cheaper than a bolter. 8. Ard Boyz- Orks with 4+ save, need I say more. 9. Rokkit Launchas- Best weapon. A anti- tank weapon, that is assualt and you can take many of them. Also knocks down MEQs easy like. 10. Models and Attitude- The Models look fantastic. The Ork Attitude is what I use most often: We are gonna win always. If we lose we will come back again to beat you up then. I could go on, I hope that helps your rant.

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | now i will return the favor orks are terrible....im small games. me and another guy in a 1200 point game. all he had was around 60 boyz and a warboss, not 2 tricked out. i had around 20 khornites and a leutenant, also not tricked out. i demolished him they are really only very good when you have enough points to expand so its not just boyz, or trukks, or whatever.

Of course, expanding your army is useful, but what you really need is brains! People just look at an Ork and think 'Oh, let's just charge, it's big and strong!' But if they actually thought about it, they would realise that it helps if you have a good plan. E.g There is no point just charging straight at an army of SM, 'cause SM would just bring up a Dreadnought or whatever little suprise it's got in store, but what'ya gotta do is suprise them. Use whatever you have, and don't do what an idiot would do. Instead of charging, move your Rokkit Launchers in range and blow your enemy tanks to pieces, and then, covering them with god knows what, move in your Killa Kans. | In response to the statement that orks are comic relief... Orks, though perhaps funny, are even more dangerous than Chaos! These guys are impossible (well, almost impossible) to get off a planet once its been invaded. Look at Armeggedon, its been turned into a wasteland by a "funny" race... every day orks and humans fight on that planet (almost everyday at least) just because the Imperium doesn't want to lose it, and the orks like to fight. The ork is able to make ANYTHING a weapon, a butter knife, even in the hands of a space marine isn't as deadly as it is in the hands of an ork! Orks are the only race designed to fight, space marines are humans designed to fight, but, since humans aren't designed to fight, then orks easily are the coolest race in 40k.

| hmm i believe i do have the right to a rebuttal or how ever you spell it. by comic relief i ment that an ork is simple compared to the other races. an ork wants a good meal, a good fight, and thats about it. humans, eldars, tau and most of the other races all have conspiracies, backstabbing, and many other unorky things going about them. orks are cruel, love a good laugh and well orks are orky. and there is nothing wrong with that. especially when that is about to chop your head off with a big ole choppa |
