Default re-worked 2000pts hoard!

yes, really! i want to try that many slaves as one big massive hoard! my manager gave me the idea so now i have to try it out...

anyways, i've done quite a bit of tinkering with my list as i really need to get off my duff and build a fantasy army now! (before i get fired...)
the main aim of this list is to be characterfull, true to my backstory & fun yet still challenging to play against... skaven have a bad rep 'round here so my aim is to make them fun again! basically, i want to know if you'd consider this army cheese, or if it's be a good scrap you'd want to play out again?!

Grey Seer Squalitch’s Verminhost

It has been quite some time since i looked at a skaven book.... So bear with me.

fangleader why the three weapons? i understand that aditional attack, but if it were me i'd just go with the biting blade.

is there a limit on slave units now? if not i'd drop a unit of clanrats and take more slaves.

Gutter Runners and Poison Wind Globidiers are alway fun in game.

YAAY FOR JEZZTAILS!!!

not bad, but just a few changes if it were me. though you must consider i am A Night Gobo player and the fun of them is incomparabe to any other army in WFB. even if they hardly ever win.

- well, i'm hoping that i'm still correct in thinking that i'll get the +1A for the additional hand weapon along with the biting blade. (ie: 3 attacks w/biting blade + 1 'regular' attack w/extra weapon)
i simply put down the hand weapon because it's his base equipment - the biting blade replaces it actually! i took the biting blade simply because it's a cheap way of getting a magic toy on my hero and thus allows him to hurt etheral enemies.

basically everything in the army is limited to a 1:1 ration to the number of clanrat regiments. ('mainstay' rule.)
i'm going with the 1 huge unit for some laughs to start with! it's pretty much the 'unkillable hoard' as you'd have to put all your effort into the slaves along and ignore everything else altogether.
also, imagine what 'deathfrenzy' will do to the 'mighty' slaves?! +2A/slave making for 3 attacks each?!! yes please!

Unfortunately, magic weapons can no longer be used with regular weapons in any combination...

sadly, i found out tonight reading through the store's rulebook

oh well, maybe i'll drop killkoony altogether and get the sacred standard of the horned rat for my BSB? imagine a unit of 78 fear-causing slaves?!!

or just stick with killkoony for a potential 4 S8 attacks from the extra hand weapon???

as many attacks in the front row as you can would be my choice, assuming he doesn't take the traditional skaven place of honour

why no champions? i know you could use the points for more wounds/rank bonus, but they will inflict more hits in combat and act as bodyguards for challenges

making stitch think is never a 'bad' thing! rather, it's somewhat dangerous!

i plan to keep my BSB nearby the slaves for the re-roll, and slap the grey seer nearby or stick killkoony in the unit itself for a much more reliable Ld8...
like i said, i'm going to try 78 for a laugh and see how it goes - the main idea is to get 'death frenzy' going in which case the slaves meager Ld5 won't matter much as they'll under the influence of frenzy.
if it doesn't work out, then i can drop back to 3 units of 26!

champrats suck... i'd rather have the extra bodies for those pts as we don't win on killing power with 1 attack S3 troops! combat res is the key...

true but the bodyguard option is still there, sure they may not do very well in a duel, but i would rather lose a weak champion for a few points than one of those lords/heros for potentially ten times the cost. sure you could get 2 clanrats for the same price, but they cant save your expensive characters' hides.
