+++ way too expensive for only 2000pts! a single cannon ball for example, and 'poof'! over a quarter of your pts gone in a single shot...
you can get a decent generic vamp lord for far less, who will still be just as good for his pts cost. special characters like mannfred are better for larger games where you can spare the pts for a big sink like him!+++

+++ i'd swap him for a necromancer on corpse cart... vamp counts really need to own the magic phase to be truely nasty!
a single Lv4 wizard isn't that hard to counter in 2000pts, and he leaves you nearly defenseless against enemy magic! (consider for example my 2000pts empire army has 8 casting dice to your 4 dispel dice!)+++

+++ again, way too expensive - espically with manfred around! the flag of blood keep while decent, would be better replace by either the royal standard of the strigois, OR the beautifully cheap banner of hellfire! (wood elf players will cry at that one!)
the sword of battle on the kastellon could also be better replaced with either a sword of might, (for S6!) or the balefire spike should you choose the royal banner... (as it still screws over those silly tree-huggers!)+++

+++ too small... their banner does little for them as they'll likely take a few casulties before they can charge. also, it's only giving them +1 for outnumbering against smaller units - most ranked units will have the numbers to equal or beat you still. (especially if you suffer a casulty or two!)
you still won't be able to overcome the +3 ranks + banner of most rank and file infantry.+++

+++ i know alot of players like this banner, but i feel that far too many people really underestimate the power of hatred... IMHO, one of your front line combat units really should have the royal banner for the hatred if gives! right now you're typically hitting on 3's thanks to your current banner... re-rolls still trump that - even if you're hitting on 4's! (hint; ask any 40k ork player what they're favourite and most accurate type of gun is!)+++

overall it's a very fragile army... you won't be able to replenish your losses very easily with only a single 4th level wizard on the table... (consider that most opponents will have anywhere from 6-8 dispel dice at 2000pts, plus a few scrolls!)
i'd drop mannfred, the black knights and the wight king and get a good vamp lord plus a necromancer on corpse cart, and a vamp battlestandard bearer which with the right upgrades, can help you create a skellie unit which will have a basic combat res of 9!!! (beat that!)

super units and characters have a bad habbit of flopping... (one main reason why bretonnian armies are so 'hit and miss' most times!)
go back to the basics and use generic characters with the right combinations to make a truely nasty army!

if you'd like, i could even show you the vamp count list I would potentially play! (which uses some truely nasty combos and has magic dominance against most anyone!)

Ah thanks stitch, i like the knights in there tho, since they really tick off the Brit and empire players. The wighting king is in there since the grave guard unit has killing blow from there banner and he gains it as well for being a wight. Other than that ya i know im low hero wise. But i want to keep the knights in for the fact they ROYALLY piss off people. Save for the grave guard other then that i don't care what is taken out.

stick to just the blood knights - that will still royally hurt people's feelings as it is!

but you still need to address your real weakness here; lack of magic...
vamps are all about magic - without it they're just a bunch of crappy troops who only have 'fear' going for them. sure mannfred gets a total of 8 casting dice to play with, but a typical 2000pts army has at least 6 dispel dice. (plenty of dice to ensure your key spells don't go off nearly enough!)
get some of those tasty bound spells too like the book of arkhan... our manager-in-training's vamp counts army at only 1500pts has 3 bound spells + 3 magic levels! few people can survive more than two turns before they're magical defenses are utterly overwhelmed.

some idea for really nasty casting vamps;
a) vamp lord w/forbidden lore + dark acolyte + supernatural horror.
nightshroud + book of arkhan.
- take either lore of beasts for 'the bear's anger' or lore of fire for 'flaming sword of rhuin'

the varient of that:
b) vamp lord w/forbidden lore + dark acolyte + infinate hatred
nightshroud + book of arkhan + rod of flaming death.
- a bit more expensive, but hatred means anything which charges your vamp is pretty much toast! you can either cast 'bear's anger' of 'flaming sword' depending on your preference of magical lores for lots of insanely high strength attacks!

best of all, both combinations include the very evil nightshroud which effectively let's you always strike first!
