Campaign Name

Right, I think we had sorted out that there are going to be the following celestial objects within this system:

Sun
4 habitable planets
1 Gas giant with orbital station
1 Asteroid belt

What i want to discuss is the following:

What is the system called?

Where is the system based?
e.g. Eastern fringe, Eye of terror, Halo Zone, etc

the system name-Malakron
location-either the Halo Zone or around the Sabbat worlds. or somewere in between. there is alot of empty space, plenty for us to romp around in.

I was more going for 1 planet, the story behind it (to be fully created by the fluff dept. of the team) Is that after the fall of medusa 5 the imperium needs more promethium to fee the constand war effort, so they see (PLANET NAME) And decide it a worth place for battle.

Your Thoughts?

Although i do love the idea of the space station/gas cloud. We could incorperate that in there.

The asteroid belt could be something like 'the Valkyries', 'the Titans', or 'the Gigantes' (all from greek myth) which seem fitting, i think!

of course with such names, i think a dark history is in call for (which is always good0

perhaps the system turned traitor during the heresy, was salvaged (it was deemed not too far gone by the newly formed =I=). but the seeds of malice were sown, only to Germinate many centuries later....

judging by the name of the system i proposd and the planet names, id say prometium could be a major resource here.

also, i say halo stars is good, but not too close to the Sabbat Worlds, since id like it to be distinct from the gaunts ghosts story line

o i didnt know tanith was around there. i havnt read any dan abnett novels (i would like too, but i spend all my money on minies =] )

so maybe it would be jsut between the two, in that big blank area. Acheron sounds good, and the promethium storyline is pretty cool also. that could open up some scenarios or importent places to capture (processing plants ect.) maybe the gas giant has alot of an importent ingrediant in making promethium.
but valkryie isnt from greek mythology, its from norse. unless they both have it, which seems unlikely.

I thought that the Titans would be good, because Asteroids can be really big, Titanic even.
