| Re: Hitler Lives within the Space Marines! isn't it hypocritical to disapprove of violence but support such violent fascist groups like the nazi's? and i also find it very hard to find a peaceful way to pay homage to the nazi's. along with the fact that his marines are not a historical homage. the clear aryan writing was all modern era nazi's and the blue armor is nothing like the uniforms of the 30's. frankly it's disgusting to see a hobby in a fiction fantasy world be slapped in with some neo-nazi's "homage". i think it's distasteful and very unwanted.

I admit those space marines were a bit distasteful...and I can understand how that could upset someone. The second steel legion army on the other hand, just looked awsome. He even cleverly changed the symbol on the arm bands too keep the same theme without being offensive. I think some of us are over reacting just a lil bit. If we are gonna act all butt hurt over such a lil thing like Nazi Themed armies I dont think we should be playing any kinda war game. Especially one such as 40K, that has so many WW1 / WW2 influences in model design. Things could be worse afterall.. They coulda been EMO themed armies

It isnt anything to go nuts over, I just find it funny how that person took all that time to paint, and money to make Space Marine models into Nazi's. | Re: Hitler Lives within the Space Marines! There is a difference between German and Nazi... Those guys are painted by a Nazi, other influences come from Germany. I see no problem painting models as German Soldiers but its when you bring ideology into it that there becomes a problem and a banner that has "Aryan" on it has definitly crossed that line. Ideology makes nazi what it is without it you have German Militarism not much different from WW1. My Death Korps if you know anything about history have a very strong Germanic flavor to them but I'm not ideologically motivated or painting offensive matter on my troops. I'm just modelling in the theme of some of the best military units the world has seen so far. I find anything to do with Nazism very distastefull b/c people dont know that difference between the two and it re-inforces very false stereotypes. Theres my rant, BvL
