Miles Per Gallon - 40K Terra

Ok we all know that with the concern of Petrol going around that it maybe hard to fuel the arms of the Imperium!

So my question is (while looking at the small fuel barrels on my baneblade) how much MPG does the Baneblade get

Im guessing.. 20 gallons to the mile

Thats right it takes 20 gallons to get it to move one mile NOT 20 miles to the gallon

With that in mind how do you move this beast from battle field to battle field?

i'm guessin those barrels have liquid hydrogen in them and the thing uses fuel cells.

Didn't fluff say that they're inefficient polluters? I don't get why they aren't better considering it's what 38 thousand years in the future and we still have ****** gas. WTF GW

I always thought the fuel drums were a tad too small for such a gigantic machine so I always assumed it ran on some super fuel.

well it runs on promethium doesnt it? so promethium probrobly IS like a super fuel.
i'd say it would get 3 gallons (of promethium) to the mile. but remember, its stopping for a while to fire its big gun. the thing isnt moving alot, so itll just be burning fuel to fire its weapons.

baneblades have their own plasma generators. i think it is mentioned in the secon ultramarine book whilst fighting the tyranids.
for anyone that's interested or understands the main power plant for the baneblade is a 110 square kilo-cubits squared adaptable thermic combustor. that get its energy from pasma. hence plasma generator.
