Default 40k in Second Life?

I can honestly say I know almost nothing about this. For those of you who don't know what second life is, check out some basic information at the website here.

Anyways, apparently there is a 40k island/community/whatever, and I really don't know too much beyond that. Yes, I'm being very vague. The question is, does anyone know about this? Does anyone have any experience with this?
I'm wondering if this is worthwhile or not.

Many thanks in advance,
R_B

I had a look at that second life online game. I dismissed it as being to expensive. I would not put it past someone to make a 40k island. It would be interesting to see some of the buildings.

Yea, but to build anything good, you have to rent land at a monthly fee.

I've been brainstorming a 40k RPG game like Guild Wars on Star Wars Galaxies, which is probably too complext to work. Like you can start as a basic member of one race, but there should be a limiter to balance things out, so you can only be a Space Marine if there are enough, say Eldar, or Imperial Gaurd. It would'nt be like Battlefield 2, where you just fight one battle, but rather lots of battles happening at the same time, and you can choose whether to fight or go get experiance doing something else, like training to be an Aspect Warrior if you are Eldar, or learning how to pilot a aircraft. What do you guys think about a game like that?

Anyway, sorry bout that, BOT.

a mmorpg would be extremly complex and would literally cause the computers of today to blow up. also your dealing with high rates of fire which every bullet would(should) be calculated and all that other bull and there is just soo many lines of code to right that it would just be unholy to make thats pretty much why fanatasy is so popular. Bows and Arrows are 1 shot every 3 secs and other lame crap like that.

however if a 40k mmorgp can be made and be made to work on the average computer than i might as well quit my job and put an iv in my arm.
