 |  Ahh decisions! Ok, so 5th ed is upon us, Im happily in the hobby mood and starting a new army! What i currently have in mind at the moment is; Tau or Necrons!? I cant decide, they both appeal to me. Although i think Tau might appeal a little more because they seem more characterful...but besides that; can anyone offer some insight and wisdom on the matter? Theyre both shooty as far as i recall but whats the main differences and play style? Whats pro's and con's of each? I've looked at both the tau and necrons forums, but i'd like an analogy of the both in the one post so i can compare ^_^ Over to you terrans !

| Re: Ahh decisions! They are both shooty type armies, but just the choices available alone in the Tau codex makes them more appealing.

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: Ahh decisions! imo there ain't much to shoose between them on the table. both have good fire power and manouverability, the tau with their battlesuits jumping in and out of cover and neccies with their monolith teleporting troops about left right and center. crons are more survivable with their high armour and wbb rolls while tau have a wider range of unit options available and are slightly cheaper iirc  tough one to call for me since neither really appeals to me  |

| Re: Ahh decisions! After much talking and thnking, Tyranids have made their way into the equation and im leaning quite a bit towards these guys ^_^ Supposedly 5th ed makes these guys brutal?

| Re: Ahh decisions! I would go with the Tau. I have gone with the Tau as a 3rd army. For me I think the varity of wargear and unit choices. The Necrons are a stable army but look like a template construct, they are. "Nids are bugs. I would rather fight them than command them. They are pretty nasty. There is my input. Hope it helps.
