| I always thought that the mechwarroir franchise has been under appreciated and missed alot of opportunities to become more mainstream and felt GW could handle the TT aspects of BT better,Plus I think it would sell alot better than LoTR.Even though I know I have a better chance of winning the lottery than seeing this happen.Any one agree?Plus am II the only one who thinks GW missed a major opportunity and did not seek out Starshiptroopers?

| i was a battletech/mechwarrior junkie for ages it was the first TT game i played later becoming involved in 40k i stopped playing battletech because i couldnt afford to buy 40k minis and Mechs so i made a choice and went with 40k i dont regret it at all it was more fun back then i think it will still be now.

Blog Entries: 4 | One word NO! Battletech does just fine on it's own, they don't need GW to come along and mess everything up. Battletech is a universe first and a miniatures game second. That's why BT has such good fluff and an amazing storyline. Battletech is my first love and the thought of GW somehow gaining the rights to them and negating it to a second string game like LotR behind their precious W40k would make me kill. Many. People.

| Trooper ![]() | I have to agree with Ion Raptor. Don't get me wrong, I like GW but Battle tech does not need their help. If GW was to buy the rights to Battletech i would have a horrible feeling in my gut, much like the one I received when Wizards of the coast bought the right to D&D from TSR. Granted it will never happen but GW would be better off putting their money into new minis and getting codexes out faster.

| @Ion Raptor Don't you think after clan invasion it got a little confusing though? Can some one tell me if clan smoke jaguar even exists any more. And when task force serpent entered clan space did they just leave after destroying the SJs homeworld? I think GW writers could have made it less confusing.Plus I hate how the current battle tech line is pre painted.Thats something GW would have made a no-no. @anyone Is armorcast still selling those huge scale timber wolfs,Mad dogs and Atlas?I saw there site but it looks abandoned.

Blog Entries: 4 | You seem to have confused yourself a bit, but yes it does sometimes take some digging to find every part of the story (I think that means the writers are doing things right) I came in after the Clan Invasion, so I can't recall a period before hand. After the Clans things weren't getting confusing, just over powered.....Mechs just kept getting bigger and stronger, until finally we had the Fafnir walking around with two Heavy Gauss Rifles. Whats more it got to the point where Mercenary units were incredibly powerful and had access to these powerful 'Mechs. I applaud the writers for the Jihad and the global reset button to technology offset this. As for the Jags, they cease to exist as an organized force. Any survivors have been picked up by other clans or escaped to become pirates.......there are files on an unaccounted for Jaguar Warship though.... Task Force Serpent left a detachment of the Eridani Light Horse on Huntress after destroying the Jaguars, the other continued on to Strana Mechty behind Victor Steiner-Davion and took on the Clans on their own terms through trials, as I'm sure you know. After beating them at their own game and scaring the Clans they headed home.....where Victor found his life turned upside down. And the current plastic Clicky-tech minis are not replacements for the metal miniatures. They are a completely different game taking place in the same universe at a different point in time then the current Classic Battletech timeline. However the Classic Battletech Universe is slowly making their way towards this timeline. Armourcast has lost or relinquished their rights to the Battletech line as far as I know. Hope that answers some questions ![]()
