  |  Anyone know this guy?? I'm digging and repacking as we all know. I was digging trying to find all my ratling things and I found a neato model. I want to use him as a base for converting my armored fist squads for my army. I would like to do some research on him and see some other poses, but I have no clue who he is. He may or may not be GW (I think he is though). He is smaller than a current ratling model, wearing armor and holding a las pistol. First one who identifies him with proof is Due for 1 rep point from me (for your intimate knowledge of miniatures)and my thanks. Also the first one to identify him will be immortalized in Stumper Muckfoot's Grate Cumpnay as the first armored fist squad's VET Sgt. Now heres the piccy!!

| Re: Anyone know this guy?? i laigh at those modles. my buddy has like 300 of the little tikes and we walked into a Gw and started playing. the employee who looked to be 38 came over and told him to take them off the table that they werent GW models i informed him and his eyes went wide.then asked us to leave for playing with illegal models. he was serious. we left and went to a bunker.

| Re: Anyone know this guy?? Great story Thirsty!!! I had a guy at GW Syracuse the same way, Real Jerky!!! Kicked a kid out because he used REAPER mini as a model. made him leave the store and come back to buy a model and then get his models set up. Come on he was like a 10-12 Y/O Anyway I think you are right, it looks to be a Squat. Im waiting for a actual pic of the model I have before I hand out rep BUT if no one comes up with anything You and Steve will get a rep point each. A staff member at GW leicester told me this: Well not to brag or anything but according to an independant survey of all GW stores worldwide Leicester is the best at no.1 and im not kidding. we have had 1 jerk of a staff member but he left 5 years ago and now all our staff are kool with things. I used to go to the Games Workshop in Syracuse, NY before it shut down (due to mall renovations and bull**** politics). When I first went, all the employees were mum on the subject of Squats. They were like "We don't sell them, we can't tell you about them." A few years before closing though, they started to relax about the subject of the annihilated race of space Dwarves. One of them explained to me that they weren't really forbidden to talk about them, just some customers get bent out of shape on the issue... Another explained to me they were like the Imperial Guard, with better technology, bikes and not really all that impressive back when they were in use... I don't know if the last part is true, but I figure, most of the employees who've been playing 10 years longer than me ought to know better how the game used to play... Does anyone here have the rules so they could explain how Squats played in relation to IG or space marines? |

I was originally told that i could only use them once because they wouldn't want kids to see stuff on the gaming tables that GW dosn't sell.
