Default Do the Tau and Eldar commonly field women in their armies?

I know the Eldar have a couple but are they commonly used? And if so, is it not surprising to find serveral in high positions? (like Shas'O or Exarch) Wait, do Tau even have women?

The howling banshee aspect warriors are all women.

Jain'Zarr and Baharroth are the Howling Banshee and Swooping Hawk Phoenix Lords (think Primarch) and are women.

I don't know about Tau, but I know Eldar are totally not gender biased.

GW itself does seem to be, but then again, it;'s target audience is male, so it's in a apart business sense.

Well yeah, Eldar don`t look down upon women as being weaker since they do that to every other living thing

Actually there also are women in the Guard (but never heared of one going up in rank) but as you well know GW doesn`t like sculpting boobies on troops that often unless they`re power armor boobies for the SoB

The Tau use female troops in their armies quite often. In teh book Firewarrior there are actaullya quite a few women in ranking positions. The difference is that the Tau armor is the same for everyone which means that the ever frequent "boobie" issue (thanks Wakim) has been taken care of because the armors and suits used do not show gender on the battle field.

ALL female Tau born into the Fire Caste fight, there's no discrimination because of gender

Yup, the only discrimination going on in the Tau empire is the complete lack of liberty

As for Female Guardians and such for the eldar, they`re just too lazy to make the boobied torso

Wakim you have at least 1 out of those two but we respect your right to not be a bovine.

But I hate Tau with a burning passion. I made a whole army of Kroot Mercenary Freedom Fighters (Or terrorists to the Tau) to pay homage to my hatred from the entire Tau race. I could care less about their...sexes

(Not to be mean to Tau players...I might just be mad because Lacrosse tryouts have started and I've got to fricken fight for my varsity slot)

Total butch. A man-she...The chatachan torsos are pretty ripped if I remember correctly...Just slapping on some breasticles might...look horribly wrong. LOL.

Females have a different stature and figure then males...They'd need their own torsos to actually look real! I'm pretty sure I've seen a converted guard female...but they used some other army's models...Give me a few seconds to gather my thoughts on this...

Yes. I recall seeing a bra-bearing catachan with either an autogun or a lasgun, and she was pretty ripped too, but she wasn't a conversion and she had the right proportions. Just, lots of muscle because she's used to fighting on a death-world.

If you want to convert models, start with female minis and just add enough greenstuff to make their muscles more defined, i think...

Or failing that, try to find and buy ever single blister with a female Catachan, and ignore the rest, if you want to increase the male-to-female ratio.

Remember, most tyrant races (Tau and Imperium especially) try to keep women in "their place" birthing the next generation of soldiers...

Although, supposedly, the most fierce and dangerous fighting units are all-female. I shudder to think what would happen if you took an army of Catachan women... Sisters of Battle? Sure, they're deadly, but they're just nuns with guns, not drinking, brawling, jungle-fighting psychopaths with a love for the smell of prometheum in the morning!
