   |  Favorite Model Ok then, I was wandering what peoples favorite models are. This includes just conversions, GW range, Paint jobs etc. Mine would have to be this one:  I just love the colours that have been used, and the detail.... What about you? By the way, if you have no idea, a good place to start is either Golden Deamon, or Cool Mini or Not

|  holy throne of earth! now that's bloody sweet!!! i take it that won a demon award?! overall, i'd have to say that my favourite 'model' itself would have to be the new space marines & upgrade packs that are coming out... so much variation and detail, plus being plastic they're all simple to convert. not to metion the sheer amount of options on them, especially when you combine the various kits! as for a paint job/conversion... well i can't really choose a single favourite as i've seen just so many really great models over the years! though the 18" berserker from dragomir at the first canadian games day/golden demon is pretty close to being a true 'all time favourite!' in my own collection... it's a hard choice between my converted culexus, and inquisitor lord. cheers!

| this is a hard question...favorite model? hmm...non converted GW i'd have to go with termies, perhaps. they look dynamic, and are plastic for easy conversion. painting, many of ap0k's work on coolminiornot rank very highly. see his work here http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/Ap0k hmm. this was a hard question. i'm sure i'll think of a model i like more than the termies though. ...erg. -ant

i'm not saying that NMM is crap! it is extreamly difficult to master and do well! i'm only saying that if you're someone who knows your art theroy and have studied art seriously, then you know exactly why NMM is just plain wrong! though i've been told, even by a couple uk studio members to put my sentinels into demon, i'm not simply because they use proper metalic paints and thus won't stand a chance untill the NMM fad passes... basically, for me a 'favourite model' is one that uses the proper metalic paints!  cheers!

| last year at the baltimore grand tournament i saw a player with a an awsome avatar. he wasnt playing with it at the time, but was waiting around for his next game. he had made it so the avatar had impaled a guardsmen with the wailing doom, shaped like a gigantic long handled glaive. the ground around the dead guardsmen had radiating lines of lava. next to him was another guardsmen whos chest had a whole in it. his other hand was holding the heart of said unfortunate guardsmen. IT WAS SO AWSOME!!! i wish i had taken a picture of it!! >.< |

| Conscript | as far as basic models go id say the plastic marines cuz theyre a joy to convert. well, with regards 'real models', i love Be'lakor, Lysander, Typhus, the Choas Warhound all the DKoK range and... im sure im missing out something. now i love GW and all but Rackham has a great range of models, if you like that sort of thing (which i do  )Last edited by DeAd_cOmMaNdO; 01-13-2007 at 03:10 AM. |
