I very rarely use GW paint. I paint 95% of my minis with Model Master enamels. Try stripping that.
I don't lick my brushes. (pointed tip...what is that?)
I don't use carrying cases. Shoeboxes.
I still play 2nd and 3rd edition.
I play games other than GW.

I'd buy two battle Companies, if I had the cash. What's so bad about that? Also, How can you play 1K sons from an SM Battle CO.? You're gonna need a LOT of bitz. Even for Pre-Heresy.

well, besides the fact i just spent rather alot of cash when in 2 weeks time i'll need that same cash to pay for a hotel room/food and such for a tournament i'm heading off to?!?

i've got a bunch of high elf bitz coming my way though to help trick them out!

still, buying a battle co. proves just how nutty a person one really is! a good thing yes, but considering i'm also working on;
- eldar
- chaos marines
- empire
- skaven
- golden demon entry
*squeek!*

cheers!

Dammit, girl, add on some Dark Eldar, Orks, Orcs, Bretonnians, Tau, Necrons, Tyrannids, Elves of all sorts, and you'll be playing every army out there. Even as a redshirt, that's a lot of modeling. You guys (and gals) don't have that much time. But, if you need bits, let me know. I have a few years worth.

BTW, I sometimes spend that cash, when I know I'll need it for Rent, Car Payments, Insurance, Electricity, Phone, etc. Been there, done that. I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat.

I still take Silver Helms.
I paint other people's armies for money. (Total paint *****.)
I go to GW stores on Saturdays and expect to get a couple of games in.
I argue logically with rules lawyers.
I give up the first turn.
I use Ogre Bulls to do more than bait and flee and I don't use 1 Tyrant and 3 Butchers.

You're lucky to have a GW store. First turn is a toss up, depening on the scenario. I have painted an arny or two. (Helps with the inventory.)

OK, I'll bite.
I suck my brushes.
I paint out of the pot.
The only vehicle that I have built that comes close to 3 color standard is my Basilisk and that was because it was the only way I could think of to WYSIWYG indirect fire.
The only model I have fully painted and based is my Ratling sergent.
I buy made in China cars at Rite-Aid and Wal-Mart just to rip the wheels off them to make autocannon gun carriages.

that's only a bad thing if you then give them to little kids who have yet to develop an immunity to lead-based paint!

anyways;
- i laughed when i heard a kid in our store had a pot of paint blow-up in his mouth...
- join in and encourage the jokes about our inflatable hammers... (i'm really a terrible, terrible person!)

cheers!

I will probably never, ever, own an army i consider "finished". Yes, I will have a workable army list, but the army itself will never be "finished" (and if it is, I'll probably just sell it).

I have never been in a GW shop.

I order my minis online and off of ebay as much as I can.

I paint straight out of the pot.

I have never mixed my paint.

Most of my army is currently unpainted, unassembled, will never be based (I don't see the point... at best I'll paint the bases a nice silver color), and is in plastic bags in a few uppacked boxes/suitcases.

I believe the Battle for Mcragge IS a good buy.

I own scanned copies of two codices!

I don't lick my brushes and didn't know lots of people did before this!

Hmm wrong nothing I do is wrong, haha!

But seriously licking brushes actually to me sounds like a good idea because I hate having the brush I'm using frey in the middle of a stroke.

I guess if I do anything wrong it would be using two sets of magnifiers at the same time, that can't be good for my eyes! I also take a big whiff of a newly opened box of models, I swear I love that smell it's like crack to me.

I once walked into a GW and bought about 300 bucks worth of paint, models, tools and things. It was funny because it took like two large and one small bags.

Lastly I walk around the GW stores with a "kid in a candy store" look writing down names of figures and then calculating their points into my army, I swear sometimes I think the clerks think I'm insane...well....ok I am a little but not much!

Hate them not brother for they know not what they do.

It's the way their brains are wired they can't help it. I do get a kick out of making them angry though. My sense of logical arguments is pretty good so when I start with a logical argument and they spout back one that RAW with the horribly flawed logic of their kind, I immediately switch to a Spirit of the Rules argument that has absolutely no real logic and it drives them crazy.

i suck my brushes but only after they've been washed in water and then only to get the point back.

i rarely allow GS to cure for anything more than 30 seconds before working it, dispite knowing full well that at least 5 minutes is best.

i don't change my water nearly as often as i know i should.

i allow the paint to come up to the metal part of the brush.

i have all the tactical genius of a 2 week old cabbage when it comes to playing the game. i select my armies based on what i like rather than what will do well. i think that basic core troops choices alone should be able to win through if i have enough of them. i'm not often right

as far as my whyf is concerned, almost all of the new minis that appear from time to time on my desk are the result of trading done with terrans. i'm toast if she ever finds out how much money i really spend

i once killed a landraider with a plasma pistol. do the math.
