Just want to see what you do in the hobby that is "wrong". Rules, painting, whatever.

I paint straight out of the pot.

I refuse to use the FAQ that says you can use Vulnerable to Blast together with Instant Death (potentially killing more models than you hit).

I lick my brushes and use my arm and hand and thumbnail as a pallet.

I still use the terrain generation charts for my fantasy games.

I use 40k models to play Inquisitor.

i add water to the pot to thin it to paint out of the pot
i too hide how much i actually spend on the hobby from the wife
(squirelling away random amounts of money at various times to make secret purchases)
i have a bad habit of not shaving mold lines in the undersides of models
(the not seen areas)
i dont think ive based a trooper model since the clinton administration

I have not bought any SM vehicles new for myself when i can fix them used for cheap
I buy metal minis because they are easier for me to strip repaint and sell as they retain value better.
90% of my armies are metal for the reason above

Glad to know Im not the only one!!! I change it if I use metallics tho

-I lick my brushes too... not just in mini painting either... Use to drive my art professors ape sh!t when I licked my brushes in class lol ( especially since oil paints have cancer causing compounds in em )..

-If its a cheap brush I'll sometimes use the same brush for every task even tho another type or sized brush is more appropriate...

-I hate painting vehicles and I put it off, avoid, and generally run away from it like the plague

- i break every new codex within 2 hours of it hitting the shelf... (forgive me, i'm a power-gamer at heart...)

- i start up about a dozen or so projects at once. (everything looks so cool though!)

- i can't roll dice to save my life, except when playing against my mate from the studio. (i'm actually good at this game! it's the dice i tell you - they just don't like me!)

- i tend to kill more of my own models than my opponent... (13 poor guardsmen to an exploding penitent engine and not 1 sister even scratched)

and the worst of all;
- i tell potential customers that the battle for macragge set is a great buy... (for this, the only punishment can be a traitor's death!)

Not really secret, but here goes:
I have note yet completed a fully painted mini (been in the hobby over two years now)
I never lick my brushes (ewww)
I ALWAYS wash my hands throughly before doing any kind of modeling, and keep a lint-free rag hand to wipe my hands off.
My hands sweat alot, heheh.
Refuse to let other players use Orbital Bombardment. If your gonna kill my minis, it better be with one of your own I can actually SEE. None of my friends really use it, good thing they don't, or they'd be fisticuffs!

I never use the living rulebooks to specialist games.

I talk to my CSM. Seriously, I give them fiery oratory before every battle.
I have never ONCE killed ANYTHING with a Missile Launcher. I'm cursed, I swear.
I almost always make at least one enemy vehicle explode in every battle, but never take any damage myself, using meltas. The enemy always loses minis in addition to the tank. Which is not a curse!
