Well since im in a bad mood and my and my brother are board where going to make something to get back at all those cocky Apoc players (well he doesn't play he just likes makeing odd ****) But we are Creating the FIRST EVER TYRANID FIRE SHARK! Basicly it has a small burner inside it, that runs at just a high enough temperature to melt gw Metal mini's into cubes that can be removed from a tray in the bottom. So when ever it defeats a unit i open the gut and put the model in, then at the push of a button its destroyed. (the idea works we came up with the whole system) So what do you guys think? Because i would be laughing my ass off the whole time watching the little $#(@ers burn.

Yes But it isent as bad as my "warhammer" model which was a hammer on a catapult body used to destroy anything that ticked me off (hgehehehe crunchy marines), Plus it would be FREAKING COOL! FIREEEEEEE! Not to mention it will have the rule

On the serious side, as a long time modeler, and a tool and die maker as a profession, I'll tell you now that it just ain't possible. The pewter alloy used by GW (and most other mnufacturers) melts at over 350 degrees fahrenheit. If you build your "shark", from styrene, it will start to distort at around 250 degrees, and will be a big ol' goopy ball o' plastic at the temps needed to melt pewter.

As for my opinion: Elzanith, you seem to be pretty cool, but you need to tone down the temper some. Stop taking everything as a personal assault against you, and relax. It just a G*dda*m game.

Probely should of thrown this in the first post but, its going to be pure Steel and mostly made to get rid of all the old models local players keep trying to destroy on there own (plus this way you get a piece of terrain or a mold could be placed in side....which would be kinda cool.....turn what ever it melts into nids! (Also iv seen rhinos Crushed with random hammers just for fun.....if some one asks to play "Warhammer" say no.) Also Bite me mart.

In that case, just buy a Jeweler's crucible, made for melting silver and such. Have someone make you a mold for casting 6-sided dice. Then your freinds who have unwanted minis can melt their minis, and make their own pewter dice.

Of course, it won't be cheap. But, you will be the life of the party. I can make your mold. Like I said, it won't be cheap.

gentlemen, a discussion about destroying other peoples models, and the hard work and effort that went into them, is not a subject that enriches the community as a whole. so i'm closing this thread. some of the posts about pewter casting can be moved into a new thread if it pleases the posters concerned. let me know if this is something you guys are interested in.
