| I was thinking about the reincarnation of the Emperor as a theme for the 42nd millenium possibly. I say this because, haven't the novels and such reached the end of the 41st millennium? I was thinking then that logically, GW would eventually expand the game into the 42nd millennium. It'd be interesting to read fan fiction or such about such a scenario, where the Emperor recovers and returns to his people, although admittedly if the Emperor did return there'd be little or no doubt as to eventual Imperial victory. Most likely the return of the Emperor would signal the end of conflict, possibly the renewal of the Great Crusade. Still, that brings to mind the thought that maybe authors could use just such a scenario in upcoming novels. I think a series of novels chronicling the "2nd Great Crusade" would be interesting to read about.

| There has been a couple of events based in M42. They're only small things though. The emperor's reincarnation has been possible since not long after the end of the Horus heresy. The high lord's haven't allowed it as they believe it could cause a shism between believers and non-believers that could be worse than the heresy or the Age of Apotasy

Blog Entries: 3 | Rise of the Tau is ok at first, but Rev has gotten a bit full of himself now and is typing up what is fast approaching purely self-assured, cock swagger drivel. But yes, re-incarnation is possible. A few radical factions of the Inquisition hold it as their guiding truth.

| If they brought him back then GW would make a model with rules that every non-imperial citizen would scream "Broken!!" Bring it on! OK all aside, from reading most of the 40k books, and most of them being doom and gloom on the humans, the rebirth of the Emperor would be a huge positive influence. There is plenty of the universe for him to take back and isn't there a Hive fleet on it's way to Earth? What a better time for him to re-emerge!

| It couldn't happen because, if it did... the xenos and chaos forces would all lose... As long as the emperor (and all the primarchs... well... maybe) remain dead/in statses (sp?)/on life support/missing/maybe dead then everyone loses and wins... which is good for GW... but if one should come back... well then, we have a slight problem... Still... I would like one of the primarchs to come back... Oh... and mind you... if the Emperor comes back... it'll be in the form of a warp god... thats bad... very bad... what happened to the eldar when they created Slaanesh??? its just speculation... but thats what I think might happen if the emperor "ascends" to warp godhood... maybe even why Abbadon wants to get to the Golden Throne... he wants to see humanity fall...

Blog Entries: 4 | The Emperor coming back mightn't be a bad thing really. According to the Ciaphas Cain books it seems to be more around the last years of the 41st millennium, and even into the 42nd. Bringing back the emperor, would mean that yes, there would be a schism, probably between the Emperor's loyalists and the Ecclesiarchy (Imperial truth vs Imperial Cult). Chaos steps out for another crusade or two, Orks and Eldar just go on as they are, More Nids show up, Tau and necrons do...whatever it is that they do, and suddenly humanity has a fighting chance again. But seriously, if the Emperor ever stepped off the golden throne, wouldn't that mean that a whole barrel-ful of daemons would vomit out of the warp into the imperial palace?

| I don't think any thing major would happen game wise if the emperor came back.It would still take the imperium a few hundred years at least get in shape for another crusade.I'd like to see the nice fluff their would be out of it though.

Blog Entries: 1 | He won't come back. It doesn't suit for GW if they want to carry on making money, as the Emperor model would just... own, everything. Period. That's if they stuck to fluff and didn't suddenly return Horus despite his soul being eradicated... Muahh... =P

Blog Entries: 4 | Illuminati! woot woot woot. And no Emperor may-be-able-to-but-will-not-actually reincarnate, just cause of the huge turmoil in the fluff it would cause, as previously stated. Plus if he made it as a model he'd be so buffed all the game designers would eat their nerf bats.

| Trooper ![]() | i would like to point out that if the emperor was reincarnated it would be the end of Chaos or any aliens. The emperor is god like, not a god. After all a leaser being, one of his sons (granted augmented by the power of chaos ) put the emperor in check. Someone kicked his butt once, no reason why someone or something couldn't kick the emporer's old butt again (think of all those evil Primarchs chilling in the warp) just my 2 pennies

| Revival, not reincarnation. Reincarnation would be if the Emperor was laid to rest in death (he's being kept alive in stasis), then his soul either took control of someone's body (possession) or was physically reborn in infant form. Revival would be if he regained consciousness and came back from his "mortally wounded but still alive" state. Basically, dude's in a coma. He ain't dead.

| If I recall the fluff I've heard correctly, the Emperor has come back in mind but not body. I remember someone once saying there's a 40K book where someone sneaks into the Golden Throne and talks with the Emperor, and the Emperor has basically become a schizophrenic with multiple personality disorder.
