Blog Entries: 1  |  purchases i might (with emphasis on might) be going to my local store tomorrow, and i want a little bit of a shopping list. so far i have ---- chainmail paint i have about $20-40 USD to work with and the shop does sell GS. any ideas on what to buy (keep in mind i only get to go like 1-2 a month.)

| Re: purchases well when thinking about this, go over it in your head. 1-what kind of armies do you have? 2-do you have a set army lists/list? A-if so, do i have everything on it that i need? 1-if so, do i have the paints for everything? 2-if not, get it 3-do i need new brushed/tools/green stuff/books/terrain if the answer to everything is yes....do i want to start a new army?

Blog Entries: 3  | Re: purchases I'd say get the chainmail paint, the GS, and depending on whats left, get some minis. A squad, a blister of a *regular* SM or whatever. Then practice your GS (metal models are ideal as they are harder to damage and strip easier, etc..)... You won't ever get any better until you try./

| Re: purchases heh i usually only use GS for filling in the gaps on my conversions. i really want to get better at making cloaks, fur lined and otherwise, but usually i just scrounge my bitz box and make a frankenstiened model that none the less looks good... i ramble alot... but anyway erus makes a good point. you dont get any better without trying!

| Re: purchases I am just getting into using green stuff for more that filling gaps. As they say practice makes perfect. No body not even the best started that way. As for building a new army write out a list and then buy one unit at a time. Revise the list as you buy more and talk with those that use that army to get ideas on how to make up the list. Lots of nuts here but lots and lots of knowledge in their furry minds.
