 |  Space Marines taking IG as allies Just a quick question guys if you don't mind. What would I need for my SM army to have IG as an allie? I was thinking about having my SM use IG Armor. Also a SM force using IG Armor does that sound like it would work well or no? |

| Ok say if your are painting an army just to paint and have on display, would you take IG armor and mix them with SM's? Just because IG armor is so cool? Also what 2 force chart units would I need? Also is IG armor heck of alot better or just more versions? |

 | for display, you can do what you want. for apocalypse, again, you can mix as much as you desire. in ordinary games of 40k, you need 1 SM hq, 2 SM troops and 1 IG hq and 2 IG troops before you start taking Imperial Guard tanks. plus of course your opponents permission |

| if you use an armored company list, you wont need IG infantry. still, you'd have to get an opponents permission to use the 2 lists.

  | Well if you wanna use IG armor in a SM army..then you gotta take Space WOlves and get them a Russ Exterminator...  otherwise..the like the rest of the guys said...need to have two force org charts and need yer oponents permission...and in tourney games it is a no no...

| or perhaps in a casual game, and you feel up to the challenge- go for a bigger points number [like 3000] and play against two armies of 1.5k each ? :] just a thought.
