Default What your lamest Warhammer Argument?

Just been chatting to Insomniacs Dream on MSN and we were laughing about how embroiled you can get if a warhammer argument breaks out. Esp if drink is involved!

It's not the fact that you r arguing thats funny, it's what your arguing about! You get so embroiled, like Warhammer is the be and end all of life and even if you win, your a loser cos you think, omg I'm a dork!

Heres mine:

An example is our poultry gaming group (WER - Krom, me and Drax) were having a gaming night once, we all had a few beers, but Krom had, had about 6 pint and half 6% real ales!

We started talking about starting missions in our games (this was a while ago when we were leaning the new rules as we were coming back into the hobby), with that Krom had an eppy and started piping up we are not ready, my argument was we should as it's the best way to learn the game, but a full bore row ensued, with the victory not clear!

But the following morning, I thought that was geeky!

Whats your?

Hmm I guess lamest 40k argument I've had was with Drax awhile back, reguarding weither or not Seraphim could deep strike. It was just a friendly debate and there were no ill feelings ( well I dont think so anyway), and it all pretty much ended with my foot deep in my mouth. Drax still likes to tease me about it every now and then

The debate ended when I took out my Codex and slammed it down on my bed and proudly started to quote it line for line... All was fine untill I realized the codex said absolutly NOTHING about Seraphim being able to deep strike... Needless to say I felt like an absolute TARD

seraphim deep striking! *chuckles to self*

there was more to that arguement mart mentioned though. i am pretty sure that we were all argueing the same side, but each expressing it in different ways and so the beer clouded our ability to realise just how ridiculous it was.

D_C.. that's really.. bad...

Try this:
Getting in a fairly heated debate with a redshirt. Apparently, this guy was either drunk or got a job there by bribery. Or illiterate. And you know what this argument was about? The spelling of "Dreadnought" and whether or not 40kTerra is the friendliest 40k Forum out there. He honestly argued his case that Dreadnought was spelt "Dreadnogut" (And no, he wasn't having me on. I met him again 2 weeks later and he apologised. Didn't give a reason why though.) and that there was no such site as 40kTerra. Not being able to spell Dreadnought is one thing, when dreadnogut suddenly defiles my army list, but insisting this awesome place where he is now going to be ridiculed doesn't exist? Hehe.

I once played an Eldar player with CSM and used Heavy Bolter's as if they had 48" range. I had like 5 of them in the game.

After I won the game he was checking out my dex and then we had a problem. I did this on accident of coarse but he wasn't impressed and I don't think he believed me.

You want to talk about being embarrassed..

My biggest argument has to be this tho..

I was playing City Fight and had my GrandMaster and 2 cohorts sitting in the road about 3" from like 3 guardsmen in deep cover. I wanted to end my turn in that cover so elected not to shoot at them fearing they would die and I could not charge into it.

I eventually got my way after the store owner called GW to clear up the mess, but it was in a tourney and I wasn't going to end my turn sitting in the road.

Yeah... after playing tau vs chaos (i won with chaos) we SM vs Necrons (me necrons ) combat patrol...

And... well, i was the newb so it was excuseable for me to not notice it, but he was moving than shooting his rocket launchers at my poor innocent necrons

Nobody noticed untill all my immortals and 1 destroyer was dead Maybe because i could move and shoot and make more casualties then him :P
