Blog Entries: 1 | I'll post a teaser for this side project just now, and I'll start posting it up tonight. "So long as there are men there will be wars" ~Albert Einstein Prologue 12/3/2512 Sydney, Scutum-Cruz Galactic Arm Northern Hemisphere Continent A1 Zone 234; Anholt Line I'd have shot myself, but I thought it'd be fairer to give the Seps a chance. They'd killed 4 of my men already in the past hour, and I was amazed they hadn't picked me out yet. The Unified Authority was falling apart, first the Sagittarius arm had split, then the Mogat's in the Scutum-Crus arm had decided to follow suit. Four years the war had been going on for...four bloody, death laden years. The U.A. Navy's three Scutum-Crux fleets (the outer, inner and command) had been merged into one fleet three years ago under Fleet Admiral Bryce Klyber. His capital ship was the Fighter Carrier Kamehameha, the ship my platoon travelled on. They were 42 of 2300 marines on the ship, and I was one of a couple of hundered officers. Being and officer, I had once had more time to myself, not anymore. No more drinking, socialising, reading...though many men still read. A favourite in my platoon were the old sci-fi's. Stories about aliens and space wars. Those authors had been wrong. Turned out our only enemy was ourselves.
