Brain, edit out the part where you shot the guy, that's unabashed god-modding and is not allowed.

Besides, as it is, there is no way my character will keep going without attackign carcer.

Not really... he asked me about it, and I confirmed it. I'm just not gonna let him attack anyone else this round of combat.

Honestly, don't worry about the other characters. If they get themselves into trouble, you don't have to rescue them. Brian has fate points.

Another thing... you mentioned these guys watching you... they weren't necessiarly watching YOU. They were watching the old man... or something... and mind you, when you rolled, you weren't in this alley way, but in a main street. I could just say they were in the alley when you passed through it.

As for the old man touching you... the book doesn't say he doesn't... and I don't think it beyond a crazy-person to grab you... they've done it to me before.

You never gave us the chance to experience the alley, same way you never told us what the town looked like. As for the crazt guy, the idea was to give us a chance to brush him off as just another loony, with the thugs only attacking if we manhandle him or attempt to stop him in any way. If he grabs your arm, you're going to do something about it, if only to push him away from you.

As for Carcer, I can't be true to my character without trying to shoot him by now, and I'm trying to avoid that. I'll be f@*!ed if I have to try and play a rookie if he gets to act like John Rambo in the middle of the street.

For now and for future reference, NPCs are outside of the player's control. You either post that you have the GM's agreement, or more realistically, you post what you try to do and the GM posts the result. That's why he's there.

As for killing him...When you meet a jerk or a prick on the street or where you work/go to school (We all have) You want to kill them but you don't because it is the wrong thing to do...society has told you from birth not to kill the people on your side even if they deserve it...I personally think that'd it take more to make your character actually take the step from thinking it to doing it...Maybe shooting the beggar did it for you?

I just killed the beggar....after Garvel threw him to the ground...Simply draw weapon, point at beggar, pull trigger. I asked MoW first via PM.

Okay everyone... I'm gonna apologize that this isn't going the way you guys planned and for the mistakes I've made.

Ya, I sorta forgot to mention the name of the Port (Stern Hope?). Yes, I probably didn't give that much of a description of the alley-way... but then again, the book didn't either, just to let you know.

Maybe I didn't do the insane guy like you guys wanted to... however, on that I'm gonna say that as GM, I can do what I want with this adventure. Not to say that I'm cruel or inconsiderate, but I've run that NPC as I believe fit, and you have reacted, thus, you see the results in the IC thread.

Sorry if you wanted more information, I'll remember that and work on giving you more in the rest of my posts.

Sorry that I've let Braindeleted go a bit crazy... but I think that both of us are going to try and fix that, eh? Just remember, Braindeleted... you don't want a knife in the back of Carcer, .

Okay... I'm gonna go ahead and try to get an IC post up... I'm in a hotel right now, so I can't promise anything. However, I should be able to get a post up by tonight... as I'll have some more time then...

For the record, details of what the town looks like (which are in the book) are more essential in a play by post because we need to know what everything looks like so that we can describe it in our posts. Aristarchus doesn't need to say anything until either we meet him or get arrested so don't worry about him.

One final thing about xp. Are you awarding it as we complete each chapter, or are you waiting until the end of the adventure?

I realize that and I am sorry, once the battle is done, I'll go ahead and get up some info on the town.

Anyways... off to continue writing up that combat post now that I can roll more dice in yet another hotel.

Edit: Ides, you've picked a total of two rounds of combat in terms of how many moves you've picked... for now I'll assume you want the ready and standard attack versus aim and feint...

But ya... the game is set up to give XP at the end of the adventure... I might split it all up into two 100XP bits, but most likely I'll just give you 200XP at the end of the adventure.

MOW, I know I failed anyway, but with the half aim action you add 10 to either WS or BS as applicable (20 if you use the full action) for future reference.

I realize that... but since you needed to use the ready action (which is a half action) to draw your sword, you didn't have time to use the aim action. Still... I believe you would have failed anyways.
