OOC: Okay, everyone... first of all, all this OOC talk is slowing down the story... let's move it to the OOC thread, since that is what it is for.

Also, while I appricate everyone wanting to join this growing RP, I do prefer a PM asking me to join first, as, this is, first and formost MY rp. Now, I don't want to sound rude, and I don't mean to be. If you want to start your own RPs (which I encourage, it means more RPers!) then do so...

Second off, Warlord, no offence or anything, but WTF????? How the heck did we get on a planet... and how did three IG ships appear magically over a dead world???

Anyways, any more OOC talk, unless its minor notes, should be taken to the OOC thread, it seems we need to (unforchately) pause the RP to work out a few minor problems.

Akuzio and Erundal walked back toward the barracks of the cadian 62nd stormtroopers. "im glad that you are back captain. i have been awarded the company in your absence. im sure Zen will let you have it back, and i will be more then happy to step down to let you have your post back. if not, perhaps you could join Zens retinue! there is certainly much more room for advancement with an inquisitor..."

Erendul didn't mean to be a bastard. He was just.. angry. Very angry. He had killed one of his own men because he tried to stop him doing something that he KNEW was wrong. Damn.. what is going on! Thought Erendul. As they reached the Inquisitors quarters, the doors openened and there stood Zen.

When Zen heard that Erendul was back, he quickly rushed to the Stormtroopers barracks, he opened the door and walked to the Captain's room, there he said, "Erendul! Its a miracle you survived!"

"Thank you my lord.. I was under the impression that you might not be happy to see me. Your reaction says otherwise." Replied Erendul, suddenly nervous talking to the Inquisitor. "After you had evacuated the planet, I stayed unconcious. I was almost dead, and i thought you had abandoned me."
"We thought you had died.." Said Zen, shocked at Erendul's words.
"But sir, before i left in the small ship, there was.. something. Some sort of Chaos Contraption, and the bombardment was not affecting it. At next look, it had taken off. Did you detect anything?"
"No.."
"Then it escaped.. sir, this thing, was armed with all the weapons you can think of that the Chaos scum have ever made. Plus it seemed to pulsate with Daemon energy..."

OOC: Meh, i want this to go somewhere now x)

Not only was Zen shocked to see that Zen was alive, but he also was amazed at the information that Erendul brought, it was nearly unbelievable.

"This ship, did it have warp capitity?"

"No sir, it did not," Erendul replied.

Zen cursed loudly. "Then the cultists must be on board our ship!"

"Sir, perhaps I could take command of the stormtroopers and begin searching the ship?"

"Yes, yes, that would be perfect. Until we arrive at the planet, we'll have to make due with the men we have on board."

Akuzio accepted Zens judgement on the matter. after all, he had knew Erundal was a better, more experianced soldier. he had only been promoted because of erundals 'death' at the hands of the cultists. He went to orginize a search party of three squads. "Seargents Belich, Greesh, and Mattius! orginize your men and report to me!"

a trooper walked slowly up to him, reporting "sir, Seargent Greesh is...dead."

"what? how!? by the emporer if its any more of this fight ring buissines..."
"of course not! some bastard Altolian snapped his neck! unprovocked!"

the troopers gaze hardned "in my opinion we should hunt this bastard down and string him up by his..."

"enough. if what you say is true that will be for Captain Erundal or the inquisitor to decide. you are in Greesh's squad, correct?"

"yes"

"then you are in charge for now." he turned to the other two seargents next to him "but for now, we have a job to do. Erundal is orginizing the rest of the company. we have news that chaos cultists from the planet have infiltrated the inquisitors ship. you three are to secure the vital areas of the ship. the warp drive, engine compartment, and armoury. clear?"

"sir yes sir!"

"good. now get moving! ill take care of this Alatolian buisiness."

OOC: Alright, a good ol' fashioned cult hunt....

Stilheim felt his blood burn at the news he has just heard, to think that even this blessed place could be tainted by filthy heretics was just wrong. He headed to the chapel to speak to the presiding confessor, to see if he heard anything.

As stilheim approached it, he bumped into a cowled figure brandishing a bloody knife. The figure, obviously startled, slashed out at stilheim, cutting his robe. Drawing his laspistol, stilheim shot his assailent in the leg with a pained yell. Dropping the knife, the figure ran as fast as he could, stilheim started to follow until he saw the prone figure of the confessor on the floor.

Picking up the knife, he saw that it was clearly an imperial issued blade given to guardsmen and their ilk...

"Akuzio! You will not arrest that 'Altonian Bastard' for he is a mercenary, and he's a friend of mine!" Barked Erendul. "Now carry on your search!"
"Reno! Get your ass over here! You'll come with me, the rest of you, spread out. Any signs no matter how small of heretical activity, come to me straight away!" The men carried out Erendul's commands, just as they used to. He and Sargeant Reno began their search, and headed for the mess hall.

When inside, they discovered to their horror two dead guardsmen, and alot of blood. Beside the men, were knives carried standard by Imperial Guard. This can't be happening again he thought, and turned around. There was Reno, laying with a knife in his neck, bleeding. No sign of any attacker. It's happening again he thought, but with no humour straying into his mind

OOC: Oh by the way, i added that machine because of the want for Xenos, i thought 'Daemon energy' might be little, lovely =]

'hooray the captain is back' thought Akuzio glumly. He stomped over to Erundal and said plainly "yea hes your friend, but god damnit he had killed a man and hurt two others without provocation. he lost em some money and they overreacted. woop de doo. thats no excuse! if hes your friend shouldnt that make it worse? at least go to Zen, hes in his retinue after all! i wasnt going to go kick his merc ass but i was going to at least confront him. if he wasnt your friend wouldnt that make a difference? dont let that hinder your judgement...sir.." with that he stomped off to continue the search, praying for the soul of any cultist that got in his way.

"Lost, where am I? Blood...so much blood!" screamed Mikail's mind.
"I should be with the Inquisitor. What am I doing here? Why am I running? Was I attacked?" His scattered thoughts weaving and dodging just out of reach left the unhinged mercenary on the verge of madness, with only flashing scenes of violence any indicator of what had occurred in the last few hours.

Before he knew what was happening the Altonian fell heavily as his boot caught the corpse's torso. "Oh Emperor!" mumbled Mikail as he took in the awful sight of the gutted Naval man, without bothering to regain his feet the terrified veteran scrambed backwards before retching violently at the sight in the corridor.

"Walls covered in blood...so much...not human" hugging his knees Mikail began rocking in time to his sobs of terror. For several long minutes he sat there expecting at any moment for whatever killed the Inquisitorial serf to come back and snuff his life out, finally he rose unsteadily to his feet and, leaning against the wall, made a bee line for the next interpass.

"Got to tell the Inquisitor, must find the Inquisitor..." over and over he muttered this mantra to keep his fear at bay before a horrific realisation brought him to a halt "Whats an Inquisitor?"...

OOC: deepening Mikail's psychosis...he doesn't know Erendul's alive and Emperor knows if he'll recognise him anyway...

Stilheim followed the thinning blood trail as best he could, leading him into a shadowed, empty hallway. The trail ended here, but he could tell that the assailent was here, waiting. Carefully moving forward, he looked for any sign of an attack, he spotted a dimly lit alcove. Inside it was a crudely constructed altar with sickly smelling candles burning on it and a blasphemous eight ponted star drawn in what he assumed was blood.

He heard rather than saw the rapidly charging figure, wielding a wicked blade with an equally wicked grin on his face. Barely moving to the side in time, the assassin ploughed into the altar but before he could get up again, stilheim shot him in the chest.

Checking the body, he found an amulet with the eight pointed star and, much to his surprise, a scrap of paper with a roughly scrawled name on it. Wasting no time, stilheim activated his vox and contacted zen, "I've found something you're probably going to enjoy, i'm on my way now"

OOC: He's found a name, the specifics of which i'll leave up to the inquisitor's discretion

"F****ng Bastard.. going against my orders..." Murmered Erendul quietly. "I've gotta find Mikail!" He searched the bodies and found nothing that they shouldn't have. So he got up from his knees, and called for two more men to come with him. "Don't go off on your own though!" He ordered them, angry at his former men's death. They left the Mess Hall and began their search for Mikail. Not long after they had left, they found him. He was in a terrible state. "Mikail! Praise the Emporer that you are alive!" Shouted Erendul in joy. No matter how much of a bastard Mikail was, he was one of the only ones who cared if Erendul lived or died. Not many did.

Zen cursed passionately at the state of his ship. He had cultists on board, treachous and disloyal guardsmen, and the only man on board that put Zen before their own sorry and worthless goals was his priest.

He knew the Erendul was a decent man, but Mikail was beginning to show signs of instability... as for the imperial guard, Zen was tempted to throw them out of the airlock.

But, for right now at least, he needed them. He needed them all. Once he arrived at their current destiation he would probably have the Imperial Guardsmen killed and the stormtroopers culled, until then he needed them.

Finally, the scene of the death. Two of the Imperial Guardsmen were guarding the room.

"Solider!" Zen said, "has anyone been in this room?"

"Just the priest and the captain Akuzio, sir," the guardsman replied.

"Thank you, and where is the priest?"

"He followed the blood trail," the guardsman gestured, "thatta ya."

Zen nodded, and seeing the blood trail, figured he might as well follow it.

OOC: Farseer, your character can meet with mine soon. Oh, and by the way, I don't trust anyone anymore... except Stilheim. This in-fighting is good. Oh, and one more thing, I've updated the rules, please read them. (in the sticked rules thread).

mac was lieing in his bunk when he saw stilhelm walk past only then did he notice the blood he jamp out of his bunk only to get shouted at by the orderly to get back in bed. mac sent his reply in the form of a right hook then he took of down the corrodor. mac had been in the med wing since they got back on board of the ship he had fallen out of the drop ship and smashed his head he was still slitly dizzie but he ran down the corridor at full speed only to get punched in the face as he rounded a corner so he kicked the leg of his attacker bringing him down then he punched his attacker twice in the face.

OOC: sorry ive been i'll recently and i all but forgotten about the rp.

Akuzio also followed the blood trail. when going deeper into the ships bowells, he though 'no wonder we didnt find them until now. this place is a labyrinth!'

he heard a scuffle up ahead. a guardsmen was entangled with a burly cultist. the cultists nose was broken but he slavered like a dog, apparently indifferent to the pain. the guardsmen almost broke free, but the cultists got him in a choke hold. Akuzio swiftly unsheathed his sword and ran at the fight, but Zens priest was there first. kicking the cultist in the neck, he knocked him off of his victim. Akuzio was there, and stabbed the cultist through the chest as the Priest shot him between the eyes. the man twitched twice, still trying to fight, and was still. Helping the fallen man up, Akuzio smirked "not the time to be lying down on the job son. you OK?"
"yes sir. thank the emporer. and you also, honoured priest."
Akuzio turned to him and said "yes. what was your name? i dont think ive had the pleasure of meeting you before."
"Stilheim" he said gruffly "and go no further then here. there is a foul alter of chaos ahead and its stench sickens me. The Lord Inquisitor is coming, and he can take care of it. you two may be corrupted by its presence" giving them a quick glance over, sizing them up.
"are there any other exits from the alter? there may be more cultists in the area, as it seems that this would be their base on the ship."
stilheim answered "im not sure. i havent been this deep into the ship before. usually only the tech-servitors travel these corridors."

OOC:we've entered the warp, correct? seems to me that in the warp, it would be easier for the cultists to summon deamons.....deamons.....

As stilheim was talking to akuzio, zen approached them swiftly. "Lord inquisitor, so glad you could come so quickly, i have found an important lead". Handing over the scrap of paper, with the name "Lt. grendal" roughly scrawled on it, over to zen. "I also discovered a blasphemous altar in that alcove that should be destroyed, unless a further investigation is in order".

Zen seemed almost relieved to have a focus for his energy, "thank you priest, i shall look into this". Stilheim turned to akuzio, "i was going to investigate further and as your here, why don't you join me on this quest", briefly turning to zen, "unless there's something else you need of me, of course".

OOC: I decided on a name and rank, i hope its ok.

"I agree with you Akuzio, in fact, I want you to confine all of your men to quarters," Zen told the Imperial officer.

"Stilhiem," Zen then said, turning to the priest, "thank you for this information. I want you and several of my most trustworthy stormtroopers to lay in wait at this postion. I have a feeling the Cultists may come here again."

"Oh, and Akuzio, one more thing," Zen said, just as Akuzio was about to leave.

"Yes, Inquistor?"

"Do you know anyone named Lt. Grendal? He will be important to getting rid of this cult."

OOC:BTW, I would like to get this warp travel + cult stuff done with soon. I was thinking that within the next two dozen or so posts we could have the story done and get to the planet.

"hmmm...yes i do belive ive heard the name before," said Akuzio, "when i was in charge of the stormtroopers, while Erundal was missing, i read a report from the commander of the navy marines that this man had not reported back to his post while we were on the ground loading up you and your men. perhaps he had gone AWAL in the hive, picked up some 'friends,' and hid here in the depths."

he tapped the vox bead in his helmet
"all units, report back to quarters. lieutenants, report directly to me if any man is missing after 15 minutes. Akuzio out."
he glanced back at the Inquisitor "by the throne, we must flush them out of their holes."
he turned and marched back to his quarters, his hand on the pommel of his sword.

"Right away, lord inqusitor", replied stilheim, before heading for his quaters. Activating his vox, he contacted sgt. willems, "sergent, i need you to assemble with some of you most trustworthy men on this position in 10 minutes", getting an affirmative, stilheim went to his quarters. Rounding up his chainsword and favorite book of hymns, he returned to the designated spot.

Seeing the sergent and five others assembled, stilheim addressed them, "excellent gentlemen, we have orders to stay in hiding for the inevitable return of heretics to this position, understood?". They smartly moved into positions concealed by shadow and bulkhead

"are there any other exits from the alter? there may be more cultists in the area, as it seems that this would be their base on the ship." stilheim answered "im not sure. i havent been this deep into the ship before. usually only the tech-servitors travel these corridors." Akuzio out." he glanced back at the Inquisitor "by the throne, we must flush them out of their holes." he turned and marched back to his quarters, his hand on the pommel of his sword.
