I've always preferred not telling my opponent what army I'm using so that if I'm using Tyranids I fight a balanced list and not a Dev heavy marine army with preferred enemy Tyranids. It just seems more fair to have no one but the custode know what each player is using until the battle starts. BUT I'M GLAD WE'LL HAVE MORE VOTERS NOW!!!!!!
