Imperial Commisar Gent & Templar Mikeel
VS.
SteveBerenyi & Braindeleted

Objective: KILL!! victory points.

"Dracon, the greenskin pawns have moved exactly as we planned. the pathetic mon-keih wont know what hit them."
"Excellant. ready the webway portals, as soon as the greenskins are engaged, we move out."

The imperial column drove on unawares. The Feral orks, however, couldnt hold themselves any longer. with a great howl, they lept up and sprinted toward the imperial tanks. the first wave was immediatly killed by hurricane bolters and the holy promethium of the immolators. beyond the dead, the roar of something gargantuan could be heard...crashing through the trees...

Tactic is the same with the LRC in the front, Flanked by the cannonesses immolator and one of the immolators, and then the rest of the column filling out behind them. Nobody deploys inside their transports besides the large squad of marines with their marshall in their LRC. All of the sisters form up behind the armored column with tanks flanking them on all sides and march. The retributors will set up in the back and lay down suppressive fire.

Although outnumbered, our column of tanks and superior 3/2+ armor saves will triumph, crushing the enemies of the Emperor beneath our tracks. By the way, what kind of terrain are we in?

aak forgot to post that

flat, with a large hill were the eldar are, the imperial forces are in open ground, and then the center is filled with forests, only three openings in the center, left, and right.

its like the imperial forces were in marching order when the orks and dark eldar had a failed ambush and now its just a pitched battle

there is something you should know first we have the ultimate meat shields in the Dark Eldar Grotesques = They can not be wounded be any less then strength 6 so all those bolter shells and "holy cleansing" flame don't touch or kill anything, shielding my orkish hordes and stevie's warriors from aaallllll those bolt shells and the BT can not beat my orks in close combat

Madboys, 2 squads 20 orks, 2A +1 for 2 CCWs+ S5 , T4 = many dead marines

Yes, the Grotesques are a good meatshield. I would have to divert several of my units to kill or break them. But thats what the Vindie, powerfists, assault cannons and plasma weaponry is for. Once the Grotesques are dead or broken, we can chew through most everything else. The vow I took means that I hit everything in CC on a 3+. The Sword Brethren and Emperors Champion are a supreme anti-HQ unit. I've had some experience fighting DE with my Templars and know that DE warriors don't last long in combat with a BT CC squad.
Orks are a lot tougher in CC. They only allow a 4+ save.(Feral Orks have choppas right?) Thats where 'Gent comes in with his Nuns with Guns. Also, the Clense and Purge tactic should work well against large squads/mobs of Orks/Dark Eldar. If the Orks try to charge Gent, I'm shure his massed flamers can take care of them.
Both of our lists are also rather Power Weapon heavy.

Because both of the lists are PW heavy they are vulnerable point wise to a lot of the firepower of the DE. Dark Lances to penetrate, and the Disintigrators to kill see vulnerable.

Yes, we have 11 dark lances (Bright lances but evil!) and blasters (hand held dark lances: same power, less range) that make mince meat of armor and we have got 6 Disintigrators which are imperial plasma cannons that don't get hot and can fire 3 24" S4 AP3 shots instead of the plasma cannon if we have need

'Gent! Where are you!

Dark Lances have the Lance special rule, right? The blessed Hull upgrade for the LRC negates the Lance rule.

Also, the more marines you kill, the closer they get to you. Once we're locked in CC, all the blasters won't do much good, but all of our power weapons will. I never did experience much DE shooting, so i don't know how effective it can be.(My assault squad burned half a squad and chopped up the other half of the 20 man warrior squad) Enlighten me please.

PW? WHY?!? Orks and DE only get +5 save max and that really doesn't matter much so thats pretty much a waste of points and I WANT you to come into CC with me I invite you to get locked in CC with 30 grotz!!! Lets see your uber HQ killers get bogged down for half the battle with my grotz


DE Shooting? Ok, here I go. Lets start with this squad:

Warrior Squad
19 warriors
Syrabite
Shredder, Splinter Cannon 186

Spinter Rifle = 24" Str 3 AP 5 Rapid fire with 18 rifles in this squad
Shredder = 12" Str 6 AP- Assault 1 Blast
Splinter Cannon = 24" Str 4 AP 5 Assault 4

The whole squad is fleet to avoid you and most of the weapons let them keep moving and stay firing at full strength.

Next: Haemonoculi

Stinger = 12" Str X AP 6 Assault 1
Always Wound on +2, If the hit model is killed it EXPLODES Center a blast marker over the hit model, the blast has a Str value of the dead model's toughness and an AP value of the dead model's armor save! e.i. A Space Marine is killed by a Stinger shot the resulting explosion is Str 4 AP 3! (Short range doesn't matter because they are in the front with the Groteques)

Next: Dracon

Terrorfex = 12" Str N/A AP N/A Assault 1, Blast
Role to hit as normal, if one or more models are hit the unit MUST take a Leadership test or become pinned. Apply a -1 Ld modifier if more then one model is hit and if the unit is 25% under starting Strength. (Fearless or not this forces a test)

You want me to do DE close combat next? (Wychs kill anything, they are combat freaks)

Not that the Grots would last very long before the broke.

So, are you planning on sitting there with your Grotesques in front, and sit there with the rest of your armies, and shoot? Considering how many bolters we're packing, the ordanance, assault cannons and all the tanks?

hmm despite my love of all those flamers Steve and Brain have convinced me that the speed and firepower of the DE coupled with the numbers and close combat brutality of the Feral Orks would just about tip a win to them.

No rebuttle(sp?) at the moment. 'Gent! Where are you?! I need your help.

EDIT: If I got really desperate to take out the Grotesques, I could sick my EC on them. 4 S6 power weapon attacks on the charge at I5, always hits on a 3+ and backed by a 2+ armor save and a 4+ invulnerable.

I am sorry for my absence, I have had computer problems as of late so I have not been able to be around. Now, the Dark Eldar claim they have more mobility than us? My entire force is mounted! Also, we dont have just the closest unit to shoot at, we can shoot past the closest unit. I personally wouldnt even bother shooting grots or grotesques, shoot past them, I can deal with them when they get closer to me. Even with the cover from the front line units, I can still shoot past everything you have in front!

Dark Eldar all have fast, skimmer transport, thus more mobile then you. They can also some through reserves but almost anywhere on the table.

You can't shoot past the grotesques with out a target priority test, making it harder to do so and either way the grots are behind the grotesques so there isn't mush to shoot at and you gotta deal with the grotesques sooner or later if you ignore them they will tear you sisters apart or they will bog down BT
