<span style=""><span style="color: Red;">40k Heresy A Battle To End All Battles</span - 40K Terra

This caimpaign will begin soon.

Heres the rules i will set down as this was my brilliant idea.

The Emperor is the leader of the Imperium

Lord Commander Erus is the leader of the Traitors.

There will be a Third Faction of individual armies: this will include Eldar, Tau, Tryanids, and Orks. This faction is added to represent all the races that may have caused trouble during the horus heresy.

Each Faction is to select 11 forum members to fight for him and under his banner. The leaders will PM a request to have the forum member join his side in the battle between good and evil

the two will post their list on a thread that will be created once they have picked the 11 each and have made sure they do not have a conflicting list with the same person on each.

a player can deny a request whoever i will frown upon it and so will many others.

Once the sides have been picked. The Leaders, Emperor & Erus will select forum members and deploy them into battle. They each have 2 power plays which allows them to declare a certain rule that may apply. these plays can and will be decided when more thought has been put into this caimpaign.

as said each leader will deploy a forum member into a battle and the two will make lists depending an a prearranged army. they will then battle it out. the winner will gain some sort of advantage as the caimpaign continues while the looser will start the next game at a disadvantage. this system applies only to the army that played.

there will be 15 battles in all. 7 one on one, 3 two on two, 2 two on one, 2 four on four, and last battle will be a huge 12 on 12.

if an army loses twice they are out of the caimpaign. this similates heavy casualties or a complete massacre of their forces.

the winners will be given rep points and maybe an awesome badge.

the third faction can arrange to have neutral armies appear in any battle as long as they declare it before voting begins. the third faction can win the caimpaign however the leader of the third faction will and his 4 members will fight a massive 3 way battle between the surviving armies of the Imperium and Traitor. The neutral faction can use up to 4 power plays.

this caimpaign will use the battle ground rules as well.

I want a good clean fight and no hitting below the belt Lets get it ON!

edits: the leader of the third faction will be decided between the 5 forum members that will be neutral.

Neutral factions will be Ork, Tyranids, Tau, Eldar, & Dark Eldar.

If no one selects Dark Eldar they can be replaced by Necrons.

The Imperium and Chaos factions when choosing Marines are limited to the original Marine Legions ie Word Bears, Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Thousand Sons.

The Imperial List is limited to Loyal Marines and Imperial Guard. There can be only 1 Inquisitor who must choose between the 3 branches.

The Chaos List is limited to Chaos Legions and the Damned.

If there are any questions please post on this thread and i and the custodians will try to help figure it out (sorry to put you guys on the spot but i will need your help)

also when a challange is declared by one leader the other leader can answer and send one of his champions to do battle. the Emperor and Erus will decide on point limits and terrain and who is defender and who is on offense. however the two or more player will create their own lists and mission with the help of custodians.

also ALL player can take part in this battle even custodians and myself. The Emperor and Erus can also take part in any battle. if i have missed anything please pm or post your question

Just a quick suggestion... we need to make sure certain weapons aren't used... for instance, termies dont have stormbolters, no LRCs, Jump Packs are ver rare, ect.

For a few quick ideas:

No Land Raider Crusader

No vindicator.

IG armies may select allied Marines from any of the loyalist legions

Assault Marines are remained (just a thought) to Jump Marines, are made Elites and are 0-1.

No Plasmacannons on foot.

Any other thoughts?

hmm i would rather try to keep imperial guard away from space marines unless its a 2 vs ? match. im not trying to recreat the horus heresy just have a caimpaign between the forces of good and evil with no date attached to it. meaning the crusader, grey knights, and many other pieces of equipment in the late days of the imperium could be used.

man ive been busy today. creating a caimpaign and logging over 20 post today

Also due to the chaotic way of well chaos forces an member may challange the current commander of the chaos forces for supremacy. the attack is considered sudden and the rebellious commander will have a superior number of forces compared to the small elite force the current commander has around him.

for example Dan would attack lord commander Erus with 5 squads of chaos marines while Erus has 5 Obliterators and 1 defiler.

if the coup de ta is successful the rebellion may split into a civil war or it may bring about adverse changes declared by the new leader; in this situation the new ruler takes complete control and forces the forum members to remain loyal. to keep the loyalty the new chaos leader uses his 2 power plays.

The Tau can't have had any part in the Horus Heresy as they were only discovered in 789.M35 and they were only starting to master the concept of "pick up rock...Hit other guy with rock" at that time.

The 'Nids first appeared around 750.M39 when Hive Fleet Behemoth attacked.
There is speculation that a small number of scout fleets entered the galaxy before then but I doubt any would have been around 10000 years before the main fleets appeared.

I leave someone else to crush your dreams regarding the Necrons.

sorry for my rather long absenst. i was trapped in a doldrum so to say.

im glad i have returned to find that there are those interested in my caimpaign. maybe if the emperor wills it we can get this thing going or at least start preparing for it after the big tourny ends.

We already have a BF 40K Campaign running, and The Archeron Campaign is waiting in the background.

Cant we merge the Archeron campaign and this one, and start it after we have finished the Battlefield 40K tournament.

Allowing the neutral forces to choose were they go is good idea seeing as the eldar probably won't ally with the orks but it might turn out to be a bit chaotic
if there isn't a leader for the neutrals. If there is going to be leader for them I'm ready to fight for it.
