Blog Entries: 3 | I just finish it tonight, finally. I must say when I first picked it up, it was rather slow and dull to me. The pace seemed forced, etc.. But, a few chapters in and I was HOOKED. The more and more the Legion turned to Slaanesh, the more and more I was drawn in. The author has a SUPERB talent at describing opulence and such in great, vivid sentences that create almost crystal clear pictures in my head. If for naught but the imagery alone, I reccomend this. Plus, I officially hate the Laer... May they burn in hell. Also, I won't spoiler anything... But given what Lucius and Edilon said about what Rylanor was doing on Isstavan III, what do you guys think happened to Tarvitz NOW? Please, let me know what you think of this book. The description of what happened in La Fenice I thought was exceptionally awesome. |

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, so i just finished it.... for some reason the primarchs are perfect tragic heroes. Fulgrim especially reminded me of Macbeth, in that he truly thought he did the right thing and wanted to better himself but once he realized how far he had fallen he knew it was too late to go back. the author is amazingly good at discribing the slide into decadance and what happens in La Fenice towards the end and the conflicting emotions of the primarchs. now, im repulsed by chaos and dissapointed with myself for following khorne...aak!! must....fight....BFTBG!!! anyway.... now for Flight of the Eisenstien! and as for Tarvitz *warning, spoiler alert* i think he lives the Isstvan III massacre, because he couldve followed the ancient into the catacombs beneath the planet. from there, they and any loyalist survivors couldve escaped once the traitors leave.

Blog Entries: 4 | I agree with the bit about Tarvitz escaping. I also think Loken and Torgaddon may have escaped too. Also, torgaddon may have turned evil. (Sabertooth) Can't wait till legion...

Blog Entries: 3 | True.. I think it really brings a depth and humanity to the primarchs in this book. We see them fall prey to the primal emotions and desires we all have... Pride, vanity, jealously, rage. It makes the Heresy seem much more understandable. |

Blog Entries: 17 | Well said! It proves also that the loyalist primarchs are the stronger, as they have not fallen to corruption or heresy.

Blog Entries: 3 | Not necessarily. some of them, like Magnus or Curze, didn't necessarily fall to corruption first off. They turned because of being forced to (Magnus was outcast) or disagreeing with the Imperium's evolution, rather than wanting to use chaos, they just wanted the Imperium gone. |

Blog Entries: 4 | it also proves that Horus might have been onto something in the Heresy. Despite the Imperial truth, no-one really believed that the emperor was, at the end of the day, human and thus made mistakes. We see the result of that now. Hiding the webway gate project from his 'trusted' generals, arrogance, a certain blind refusal to heed the Primarchs' pleas.

Blog Entries: 3 | It is set up perfectly for a game. Neither faction is, from an impartial and objective point of view (which is actually, as discussed with a former philosophy teacher this eve, a complete and utter farce.. Being human makes you unable to be impartial, by definition, imho) there is no right or wrong side. They each have their mistakes, and their truths. |

Blog Entries: 4 | Once again, I reiterate that in Sabretooth's stuff Torgaddon ends up fighting as a chaos guy. Reanimation type things are common. I realise that sabretooth isnt reliable at all (pretty much) but I did state that was my reference. Just putting it out there that it was one possible occurance ![]()

| The Ultramarines omnibus is by Graham Mcneil and is excellent. The first has them putting down rebellion on pavonis, the second book is a really cool Tyranid Invasion and the third which i think was the worst has Uriel Ventris on a chaos planet. |
