Default Galaxy In Flames

My opinion, probably the best so far. I mean, how can you make a stoyline like 40k's seem like it could actually happen? Pretty hard to do what with it's gothic-ness and use of swords and chainsaws and such, but all three really make it seem real, and the Primarches aren't rushing into battle stupidly just out of bloodlust(not counting Angron). They have a purpose and you can see why Horus turncoated. He was pissed and thought the Emperor was abandoning him..............................Now um........Discuss....

It does a great job, but in my humble opinion it perhaps focuses on the Luna Wolves and a few other legions too much. Though it is a 9 part series (that has been confirmed), the first two books focused too much on the Luna Wolves, with some cameo roles from other Legions, although Galaxy in Flames appeared to pull away from that. It also makes the Primarch more human than I picture them, but then again, it is a fresh view that fits the fluff well. I paticularly like the characters of Lucius and Iacton the Half-Heard, as well as Rylanor and Fabius Bile (DAMN YOU YOU MEDDLING BAFOON!). All masterfully done, just as hoped.

Great book, and very entertaining. I disagree that the first books concentrated too much on the Luna Wolves, as that was what they were meant to do, explain why Horus turncoated.
