| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, multiple part thread. 1-which is the best book so far 2-what would you like to see next and why? as in, a book about which legion **warning, plot spoilers** so i just finished False Gods, and starting on Galaxy in Flames. i read it out of order...started with Fulgrim, then Flight, Descent, and THEN Horus Rising. it didnt matter, i got it all fine. wasnt confused. so far, though, i think either False Gods or Fulgrim are the best ones. False Gods was interesting, but because you already knew what would happen it didnt seem as good. like, you KNEW that Horus was going to turn. you KNOW that Erubus is the one that turns him. that is, if you know 40k fluff (well....Imperium/chaos fluff....) still, when he falls it is kinda sad. Fulgrim though, is SOOO GOOOOD. it seems more like 'The Tragedy of Fulgrim,' because he has such an admireable goal and you know it just tears him apart to turn against the Emperor, and he thinks he is doing the right thing. then when he kills Ferrus Manus and realizes how far he has fallen.....thats the worst. being possesed? utterly? cause he is still inside there, but not in control. that sucks. and he watches when the deamon kills Guilliman, though thats not in the book, thats much later. anyway... Legion promises to be good. the Alpha Legion are my favorite. i own all of the books so far...i want the complete collection ![]() but what books would i LIKE? ones about Perturabo and HIS fall, why he turns, and then one about the blood angels, starting with the blood angels in the Signus Cluster, where they fight all the deamons, and ending with Sang's death on Horus' Battlebarge. these books have given me a different look on the chaos space marines. it seems that, in the beginning at least, they truly thought they were doing the right thing. they just had unquestioning love for their primarch. for the base, line marine? it wasnt about pwoer. they werent about that, they were following the god-like being that they knew as their 'father' however, not the world eaters. the world eaters knew EXACTLY what they were doing. they all descended to worshiping the blood god and had no qualms about it. thats why i just cant get into them as much as i used to.....theyre just....sick evil ****s. i still play with em, though, as shock troops. theyre the army i turn to if i want to utterly annihilate my opponent, just massacre them and revel in the bloodshed as the bezerkers slice heads off of their 'crack' assault troops. striking scorpions? HAHAHAH!!!! (ok the Khorne player still pokes his nasty head through every now and then. like right here "just massacre them and revel in the bloodshed as the bezerkers slice heads off" whatever )

Blog Entries: 5 | I am anxious for the upcoming 'Mechanicum' book they announced. That aside, i'd love to see one from the World Eaters side... I don't think they were quite as willing or perverse as Dan seemed to think... But it'd still be interesting to see how they turned. A Night Lords one would be welcome too.

Blog Entries: 1 | One reason I like the World Eaters is their martial pride. Kinda like Spartans, who detested ranged weapons. Is there any books on the Word Bearers?

Blog Entries: 5 | April 11th... The cost for you would only be the 25 registration fee and getting to my place when we leave. And I might have him sign False Gods.. But Fulgrim was just.. I may be biased but.. Wow.. I mean... It truly was DAMN well written.

| Yes sir you are biased...but also correct I believe a list of the books from best to worst (though still good books) would be the following: 1. Fulgrim 2. Horus Rising 3. False Gods 4. Galaxy in Flames 5. Flight of the Eisenstein 6. Descent of Angels |

Blog Entries: 4 | Hmmm, the world eaters story isn't so much about them knowing that they worshipped khorne... Didn't Horus corrupt their rituals somehow? Saying he had brought them to a point of no return?

| Ferrus Manus, The Gorgon ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I really enjoyed Fulgrim(I'm depressed about Ferrus Manus...) and Flight of the Eisenstein. I liked all the books though and I'm glad they're writing about the Heresy since it is the cataclysmic event of most of the fluff. Hopefully they'll write one about the Imperial Fists and the Seige of the Emperor's Palace.

| The Dark Apostle ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, so angron was given neural implants as a gladiator slave, which made him a bezerker. bezerking primarch=bad day for anyone. so he rebelled and led a gladiator army (spartacus anyone?) but they were about to be wiped out in the mountains (again...) but the emperor came and offered angron a place by his side, but angron wanted to stay with his warriors, who the empy wouldnt take. he refused, and stayed. then the emp teleported angron aboard (stole him away) and his army got slaughtered. that started it. so angron had his techmarines copy the implants and gave them to his own warriors. the emp learned about it, condemned it. angron continued in secret, and when the horus became warmaster, horus allowed it. later when horus was turned, he kept angron in a constant state of war, all the while subtly telling him about khorne. that turned him.
