 |  The Soul Drinkers Omnimbus i recently read "The Soul Drinkers Omnimbus", by Ben Counter. it contains three books in the soul drinkers saga, Soul Drinker, The Bleeding Chalice, and Crimson Tears. I loved it. it had good insights into the workings of a SM chapter (for anyone who hasnt read any BL books before, like me,) and alot of reaaalllyy cool twists and surprises. the action is awesome and in fact influenced my style of writing action scenes. i would seriously recommend this as a good read, especially fans of space marines and chaos.

Blog Entries: 4 | I thoroughly enjoyed the first novel and the second was ok as well but I found the third novel a bit of a mess to me it seemed like he had a good premis for a short story but it had been fleshed out into a full novel but not in a very good way...

| youre talking about the gravenhold battle? i think he couldve orginized that a bit better, yea, but it cant be the easiest thing to write out a book that IS basically a battle. lots of things going on at once n all.

| well.... Its ok; but I've read much better BL books. Story-telling was found wanting, =][= looking into excommunicae-ting author.

Blog Entries: 3    | I've been hearing both good and bad things, and when I purchase a new BL book, I was looking at this omnibus.. But i'm not sure because of mixed reviews... Dan.. Would you want to write a book review to give a good overview and opinion of the work? That way I can cheat and know if I want it before I buy it! |
