5 VEHICLES TO have an FoF wall up.
40 kroot bodies if that buffer is to fail.
Broadsides = instant vehicle and heavy troop killers - will shoot SMS if it is the better choice.
Ionheads will snipe all heavy armor units.
9x MP crisis suits will snipe 36'' medium-light vehicles & troops
2x HQ heroes will wait and then blast heavy armor when it gets close.

Pathfinders adds markerlight support 36'' away to ensure kills. Railrifle just to for sure kill a marine every now and then.




Any suggestions?

I just need to tweak it for an 1850 tourney.

I'd wait to see what Stitch says. I'd say something, but I don't have a Tau dex on me ATM. I think I'll borrow it and scan it in for future reference.

Only two 6 man squads of Shas'la???

They really won't be able to do too much.
On one occasion I've had 36 Shas'la FoF a single 10 man SM squad.

After 72 pulse rifle shots and all the burst cannon fire from the devilfish 4 of the marines were still standing.
Maybe it's just my crappy dice rolls or something but I doubt your firewarriors will ammount to anymore than an minor distraction.

Exactly my point.

A fire warrior only contributes a single S 5 shot. S5 is a lot, but not enough for my taste.

You CANNOT effectively kill mass with a pule rifle, because it takes a 1:1 ratio which is hard, and also you can't kill MEQ effectively, because they save easily.

Hence my reasoning to pump in the longer range str 7 MPods, burst guns, rail, and ion.

I'll play long range sniping. Kill whatever I shoot, and deny points. Instead of providing too much and have inneffective units.
